My teaching journey began in Granada, Spain, where I worked at ITACA Centro de Formación, instructing students across various proficiency levels (A1-C1) and preparing them for IELTS and Cambridge examinations. I developed engaging lesson plans tailored to students' educational needs and provided targeted interventions to enhance learning outcomes. Upon returning to the UK, I began to work as a Philosophy tutor adapting lessons to individual learning styles and supporting students in improving their communication skills. I have taught EFL in Japan and London; I'm into tennis and have an engineering degree, PGCE and TESOL My interests are piano, writing, travel and tennis; where I play competitively. I live in Newport Pagnell which is right next to Milton Keynes; so I am able to travel up to 10 miles in order to teach students.
I have completed a PGCE in secondary school science in London and did two placements to get practical experience. I also have qualifications in environmental science (post grad), acoustics and mechanical engineering.
Currently I'm working in the construction industry as an engineer doing mainly acoustic testing and consultancy; this involves driving extensively within the south east and beyond.
I'm looking to teach adult learners mainly at the weekends and evenings at around intermediate level; I'd prefer in person

Teaching Experience:
Thave taught EFL at intermediate level in London for a year in groups. I have also taught schools and engineers in Japan for three years including teaching presentation, TOEIC and TOEFL. I've a TESOL (TRINITY) qualification. The Elementary schools required some knowledge of Japanese language and culture as I was often taking the class for the whole lesson. The engineering teaching required travelling within the Tokyo area to teach professional engineers from some of the top universities in Japan.
