Tutoring Approach:
During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs. I have been teaching Economics and Business for over 14 years as Head of Economics and Business in three high performing independent schools. This followed 19 years working in commercial roles in the fast moving consumer goods industry, after which I completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Business Education) at the University of Roehampton in London.

Firstly, I'll set up a folder on google drive which is shared with the parent to allow them to track the progress of their child.

Within this folder, parents will find detailed updates including what has been completed in each lesson, homework assignments set, and the marks received. Additionally, there is a syllabus checklist available which tracks the topics covered and indicates the student's confidence in each area. This comprehensive approach ensures that parents are always up-to-date and can actively engage in their child's academic progress.

Every session will be tailored to the students needs and taught in a way that suits their learning style. I build strong bonds with the students that allow them to feel comfortable and ask any question that they have.

I guide my students towards obtaining correct answers with a series of well-placed questions rather than providing them with information to 'rote learn'.
