During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs. I have 4 years experience as an AQA A-level Economics examiner. I am also a fully qualified teacher and have taught and tutored both children and adults since 2011. My specialisms are A-level Economics and Business Studies but I have also prepared candidates for Oxbridge entry.

I am a father of four and a fully qualified teacher turned full-time private tutor with Enhanced DBS Clearance. I am an enthusiastic tutor who has an excellent track record in helping students achieve, or exceed, their target grades. Finally, I have fibre broadband for an excellent online experience.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored both the domestic and international exam boards for many years including: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, EDUQAS, WJEC, CIE, International Edexcel, IB, Pre-U and SEB.

I have tutored online for over 3000 hours and find that for Economics and Business Studies it is as good as in person, if not better, since it is much easier to send model paragraphs and diagrams. I am an enthusiastic Head of Department at an outstanding school in Berkshire. I teach both GCSE and A level Business and Economics. I have experience in a range of different exam boards. I graduated from the University of Bath with a 2.1 in Economics and Politics and have a decade of real world experience having worked as a management consultant and senior marketing roles in the healthcare and lifesciences industry. I am also a proud mum to my son, keen yoga practitioner and love to travel.

Teaching Experience:
I have 8 years of teaching experience. I have supported students with dyslexia and other learning needs improve their written work and improve the accuracy and understanding of technical and diagrammatic analysis in Economics

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to identify the students need whether that's understanding the content fully or being able to apply their knowledge to exam questions. Or indeed whether the student needs to practise structuring their writing to more clearly align with the mark schemes from the examiner. In addition some students need support organising themselves and planning their revision. I believe it should complement and enhance their school work in a positive way. Ideally students should use the sessions to enable them to become more independent in their learning rather than tutoring for perpetuity.

University of Cambridge Undergraduate. I achieved 9 A*`s at GCSE and A*A*A*A in my A-Levels.

As someone who has recently experienced what it is like doing the new style of GCSE`s and A-Levels, I understand and recognise what works best in order for students to excel beyond what they think might be their limits. Having achieved 9 A*`s at GCSE(6 "9`s" for GCSE and 3 "A*`s for IGCSE) and A*A*A*A at A-Level recently, I understand what approach works best in order for a student to excel and what the exam boards are looking for so that the pupil can achieve the best grades. I am able to teach a wide variety of exam boards.

My students feel that it is very easy to connect with how I teach and are not afraid to ask questions or approach my teaching in a fun and informal manner. I provide my students with resources that I myself used to achieve my grades, which allows them to truly know whether they have grasped a topic.

With over 3 years of extensive tutoring experience - having clocked in hundreds upon hundreds of hours - I have relished helping pupils sky-rocket their grades. During my time tutoring I have helped students of all ages - helping them with their 11+, GCSE's, A-Level's and University Admissions. Every single one of my students have achieved their desired grades that, in turn, have helped them get admission into their dream secondary school, dream sixth form, or dream university (with many students getting into Oxbridge and other Russell Group Universities). A significant percentage of those I tutor come to me for help in Economics, Maths, Politics and help in their University Applications (from help with their personal statements to Oxbridge support for their desired course).

Economics undergraduate at the university of Bristol. Studied Economics, Maths and Psychology at A level, now looking to provide tutoring for A level Economics and GCSE Maths students. Achieved an A* in Economics and A in Maths. Tutoring will be done over zoom due to immobility as result of University.

Teaching Experience:
Tutoring experience in GCSE maths, very passionate about economics and mathematics and look to help younger years achieve the highest grades possible using the techniques I used to achieve these high grades.

Tutoring Approach:
Focus on question practice as I believe that a student can have all the knowledge in the world but if they do not know how to apply it correctly then they will not be able to access high marks, with Economics a focus on understanding and mastering how to write perfect essays are key and with mathematics repitition is key in order to solidify topics into the long term memory.
