During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs. I am a dedicated teacher and tutor who is passionate about education and the progression of students to achieve their maximum potential. Currently Head of Economics, with 10 years experience in the classroom teaching A-Level and GCSE Business, Economics and Financial Education.

Teaching Experience:
I am currently Head of Economics in a highly successful inner London secondary school. I have taught for 10 years across various exam boards and also have experience as an A-Level examiner for AQA. I am a co-author for the most recent GCSE Economics workbook by published by Hodder Education.

My previous experience includes working as an Academic Mentor for Economics and Business Studies in a Sixth Form College. My undergraduate degree was in BSc Economics from City University London. I also completed my PGCE in Business and Economics Education at the Institute of Education, UCL.

I believe in a student - centred approach, focusing on building confidence and equipping students to be independent learners. I use current Business and Economics news in sessions, to help students understand different theories and concepts. I use past papers and practice questions to help students develop their exam technique and exam assessment objectives.

I'm currently in my second year of college studying A-level economics, A-level maths and A-level business.
I went from failing all my subjects to getting predicted Bs, this has led me to wanting to help others fall in love with the subjects they're struggling in and achieve great results. I will be studying economics at university therefore economics is the subject that I'm most confident at and can help first year students only, as for help regarding GCSE maths I'm open to tutoring students in year 8 and year 9.
