I therefore place a great emphasis on guiding students through the process of answering past paper questions, across all topic areas. In our sessions I will help with essay structure, illustrate how to use higher order analytical and evaluation skills, and crucially, how to apply an answer to information in a case study, or how to bring in real world examples.

Over the years I have taught an increasing proportion of students online, so that currently about 90% of my tutoring is done this way. I use Skype/Google Meet/Zoom and Google Docs, which students can also access. "Matt only got an E grade in his February A2 mock exam and the school predicted he would get a C grade at A2. With the significant assistance from Ian, Matt achieved an A* at A2. I'm a tutor with 10 years' experience helping students reach top grades in A-level Economics and develop a ton of other skills along the way. Over that time I've worked with a whole spectrum of people with different personalities and needs, which has really allowed me to fine tune my approach. The difference between a good tutor and a top one is two-fold - firstly it's the ability to instil confidence in a student that they can realistically achieve an A* grade, regardless of where they were when we started or the expectations set by their teachers. Personal Description:
I have over 30 years experience as a teacher and examiner. I work with students to identify what they are challenged by and will tailor my tutoring to address a student's needs. I provide feedback on progress and plan follow up lessons to address issues students have and help them action improvements to make progress. I have an excellent track record of helping students to make exceptional progress and achieve excellent examination results.

Teaching Experience:
I have 32 years of teaching experience, teaching KS3 and 4 English, Maths, Geography, Economics and Business Studies, as well as Business Studies, Economics and Geography at A Level.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a student centred approach to tutoring and tailor all lessons to student needs, to ensure they make maximum progress. As an experienced examiner for several exam boards I can provide students with invaluable examination practice.

Personal Description:
Hello my name is Louis and I am going into my second year at Bath university studying pure Economics. At A levels, I got A*'s in French, Economics and Geography as well as an A in maths. I am fluent in French and could also teach spanish up to the GCSE level if need be.

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored on and off independently for about 5 years now.
I have also volunteered as a TA as a local primary school.

Tutoring Approach:
I try to cater to what the student is looking for, making lessons engaging and focusing on them being proactive during the lesson rather than me talking the whole time.
