Tutoring Approach:
I will always begin by discussing my tutee's individual requirements and areas of the syllabus they would like to focus on. Students may ask to recap concepts and theories that aren't fully understood, however in my experience most require help with exam technique, and how to translate their knowledge into a high grade answer. I therefore place a great emphasis on guiding students through the process of answering past paper questions, across all topic areas. In our sessions I will help with essay structure, illustrate how to use higher order analytical and evaluation skills, and crucially, how to apply an answer to information in a case study, or how to bring in real world examples.

Over the years I have taught an increasing proportion of students online, so that currently about 90% of my tutoring is done this way. I use Skype/Google Meet/Zoom and Google Docs, which students can also access. This makes the sessions as interactive as meeting face to face, and it also means I can tutor students from anywhere in the world (I have taught people in South Africa, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Spain, France, Serbia, Russia, Montenegro and Bermuda). My main objective is to help students gain confidence and instil in them a 'can do' attitude. This is something that I believe I am good at. I get great job satisfaction when I see my students develop self-confidence and reach their full potential. Personal Description:
I am a friendly and outgoing tutor. I have studied at Wilson's School and I have a variety of interests. Teaching has always been my passion and I enjoy interacting with young students.

Teaching Experience:
I initially started teaching students at my local library. Finding it a very rewarding experience, I continued this passion by teaching 11+ and GCSE students. I have now added several A Level students as well to my lessons.

I have taught 11+ students on a regular basis. I have also conducted many intensive courses for 11+ Maths and English in July/August in order to help them gain momentum for the 11+ entrance exams.

I have helped several GCSE and students achieve their target grades and have enjoyed seeing them gain confidence with every lesson.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe in connecting with my students in a way that they gain confidence and clear insight in their subject. I follow a clear structure in my lessons in order to cover all relevant topics that they need help in, teaching them not just the theory but also the exam technique to help them achieve the highest marks possible. I share tricks and learning devices with them in order to make memorising/revising a more efficient experience. I set regular homework, including solving past papers.

I focus on helping my students achieve excellence in their subjects by helping them aim higher. I firmly believe that every student has the capability within to attain success. My goal is to help them in this process and make the journey as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

5) Active Listening: Understanding a student's challenges and questions requires active listening. By carefully listening, I can address their specific needs and tailor your tutoring accordingly.

3) Clear Explanation: Presenting concepts in a clear, concise, and easily understandable manner whilst using real-life examples and analogies to illustrate complex ideas.

4)Interactive Learning: I encourage active participation and engagement from all students. Asking questions to check for understanding and encourage critical thinking is the best way to improve.
