Tutoring Approach:
I believe one to one private tuition requires a tutor who can adapt to the needs of the pupil. Ideally (although not crucially-entirely online is also possible) I would wish to meet the pupil initially to establish how they may best be assisted and what the pupil's key areas of concern are. Each mind, young or old, needs different approaches and I believe my strongest ability is an adaptability to meet the varying needs and requirements of every student.

My approach, in most cases would be to follow a curriculum, finding out where their difficulties lie within this curriculum and how it would be best to resolve them.

I tend to use past papers when it comes to exam based tuition as this is ultimately what they will be faced with come exam time! However, when I have a pupil for longer there is more scope for more imaginative teaching or simply assistance with difficult homework.

With each of my previous pupils I have needed and been able to assist them in a way that is individually appealing to them and I have never had a pupil who has not achieved their desired results.

I trained as an actor at Arts Educational schools and have forty years experience working as an actor, director, writer and trainer. For ten years I worked as an audio director, directing many of the UK's leading actors in recordings of 150 audio books, poetry collections and drama. As a writer I have seen my plays produced in repertory theatre and by small touring companies and have also written for TV. I have been coaching people in presentation skills, acting and elocution since 2003. I teach young adults aged 18 and over and adults of any age.

As Senior Teacher/ Teacher in Charge, of a Medical Pupil Referral Unit I headed up a dedicated team of skilled teachers who worked with young people on a 1:1 and small group basis. I am well aware of the current concerns with the mental health of young people and aim to support those I work with in a positive and sensitively focused manner. Many of my student's have experienced exam anxiety, dyslexia and learning difficulties which has made school a problematic environment for them. I currently work as a drama facilitator with West End in Schools delivering drama, history and PSHE workshops in primary schools. James is a freelance theatre director who trained at RADA and the Kings Head Theatre in London.

I have directed several theatre productions at drama schools, fringe and off-west end theatres. As an Associate Director, I have worked in the West End on numerous productions including The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe and the Olivier and Grammy-nominated Amelie The Musical. I have also worked at the Royal Shakespeare Company as an Assistant Director on their sell-out show A Christmas Carol starring Adrien Edmondson.

In my early career I taught at Theatrix Performing Arts School and directed students through Trinity College London acting examinations as well as public performances. My students achieved a 100% pass rate with Merits or Distinctions in their performance examinations. I am currently in my second year of a BA Hons in Film Studies at Edge Hill University, living away from home during the week but always available on weekends. My name is Gur, I'm a theatre and performance maker and a Hebrew tutor residing in London since July 2014.
I was born in Israel in 1986. I grew up in the outskirts of Tel- Aviv and lived in Tel-Aviv most of my adulthood. I attended the prestigious arts school Thelma Yellin followed by the Yoram Lowenstein acting Studio where I graduated in 2009. I completed a Master's degree in Performance at Goldsmiths University of London in 2016. Since 2015 I have been teaching Hebrew in London, there are great results and moreover Hebrew tutoring provides me with a connection to my roots. In my productions I put an emphasis on the actor or performer and I am experienced in achieving a result that will satisfy me and my actor.
I am hard working and I believe in contributing to my community. For two years I have been donating my time to teach theatre at a religious kindergarten in Tel-Aviv. in 2015, I have taught acting as a volunteer at the CEN8 Organisation in New Cross.

Tutoring Approach:
This add up to his statement that the performer "lives truthfully under given imaginary circumstances", hence, I highlight the tension between the performance actions and the performer's mode on stage.
Together with the performer I encourage building an inner-monologue combined of images and sub-texts, to enrich and create an extra layer to the performance. This technique helps to build a frame work that allow us to develop an organic flow. The use of sub-text enables us to act truthfully, feel organic in the moment and react only to what is happening on stage.

I am a 35 year Principal teacher living in Glasgow. I relocated from Blackpool 11 years ago! I have a degree in drama followed by a post graduate degree in primary education from Lancaster; as well as various sports coaching qualifications.

I am able to teach a variety of subjects and I have also taught maths up to national qualification levels.

I am GTC registered as well as PVG cleared to work with children and vulnerable adults.

I am a primary school teacher but I also have experience of working with high school aged children, particularly in maths. Most of my experience comes in the 5-11 age bracket.

She received Denver Post Ovation Awards for her work in ALL MY SONS at the Denver Center, and RABBIT HOLE at the Curious Theatre, as well as the 2012 Culture West "Best Season by an Actress" award and the 2013 Culture West "Best Supporting Actress" in STEEL MAGNOLIAS at Senior Housing Options.

I produced two off-Broadway plays in New York City and two site-specific productions in Denver. I co-founded The Mile Square Theatre in Hoboken, NJ, now in its 16th year and I'm an Artistic Associate with Théâtre Du Rêve in Atlanta, GA.

I served as Literary Producer for LOCAL Theater Company, and adjudicated the LAB, a 3 day new play festival, for 7 years, and produced it for five. She is also a script scout for Noggin Sauce Pictures, a Colorado-based film company. Their short film, MRS. DRAKE, which I produced and performed in, has been in 18 film festivals in 2017, and won several awards. I am currently working on STILLNESS, a short film I wrote and will direct, with Five Fifty Five Productions here in London.

Since moving to London, I have been focusing on TV and Film, most recently shooting an episode of BERLIN STATION in Budapest.

I taught audition techniques with Sylvia Gregory Casting in Denver, and have been a private one-on-one acting/audition coach for over 15 years.

My corporate work includes developing leadership and communication skills thru the practical application of theatre techniques. I have delivered over 200 hours of one-on-one coaching in the last 18 months to global clients, and traveled interntaionally to lead two day workshops on leadership and confidence.

I have a strong foundation in Film and Media, which is clearly exemplified by my degree and my experience in the media prior to becoming a teacher. A key focus within my degree was the making of new and innovative content for emerging new media technologies, digital broadcasting underlined by learning traditional narrative structures and learning the production process from pre-production to post-production for Film and TV. My degree gave me a strong foundation in the skills required for creating creative media and film productions across a range of media platforms, as well as providing me with the fundamental theoretical concepts underlying film, digital media and communication technologies.

I've been teaching and lecturing for 15 years on different film movements and periods through early cinema to present day. I regularly analyse key film texts exploring all areas of film form and the aesthetical quality. I have a strong knowledge on the histrionics of film through intellectual engagement. My ability to teach practical filmmaking from production and post-production has driven my love for cinema. I use the study of film scenes to support actors in analysing actor's choices, tactics and objectives, voice, movement and how actors work in different screen compositions and frames.

I was employed at Arts Educational Schools in the role of Head of Media and Film Department and was previously employed as a Teacher of Media Studies and BTEC Film and TV production at Twyford Church of England High School in Acton. I am currently working as a Screen Acting and filmmaking practitioner. I am currently Programme leader for BA Screen Acting at Met Film School. Previously I use to be the Head of Filmmaking at City Academy Film School and led on the BFi Filmmaking programme. I have been a professional performer for over 14 years with experience in all different types of acting. From voice to physical theatre! I've done it all!

When I was very young I starred in multiple theatre roles, developing various skills and delving into the works of many drama and theatre practitioners such as Stanislavski, Brecht, Artaud, Chekhov, Berkoff and many, many more!

After many years in theatre I decided to branch out into other forms of acting, I moved to voice acting in which I developed a personal method to help keep and maintain a healthy voice as well as using pre-established methods to create and enhance my repertoire of characterized voices

I started giving private lessons to a few friends and associates back in college, helping them get higher grades as well as preparing them for a future in the acting industry. One of my original students in particular, Stephen, was recently accepted into Manchester school of theatre, an esteemed drama school in one of the top universities in the country!

Hello potential students!

My name is David. I was an actor for 20 years, both as a hobbyist and a professional until becoming a writer. I still am both of those things (as well as a voice-over artist), but now would like to pass on my knowledge to other people and see if it helps them.

Until very recently, I worked in customer service for a myriad of companies--all to allow me the space and time to enjoy a career that was never fully stable. I enjoyed them, but only for the opportunity to meet new people and learn from them. True, I may be a tutor, but I will never stop being a student.

I also class as neurodivergent. For decades I lived with undiagnosed ADHD. Learning this was a surprise to many others around me, but not to me directly. The signs were not as well known back then, and somehow I had adapted to learn. These days, we adapt the teaching; so know that whatever background you have, we will find a way to learn together!

Teaching Experience:
Over one year as a private Tutor. Most of my students have been GCSE level (all exam boards) and a few have been adult learners wanting to know more, or Primary School pupils working to better their grammar. Whilst I haven't held an official teaching role, I've spent the last couple of years helping to mentor those around me when they needed it. I find it incredibly rewarding to break down harder concepts that people often find 'scary' into more manageable steps. For example, I previously tutored a friend in GCSE Maths who was consistently stuck on a grade 4-5. By focusing on consistently appearing topics that could also appear in larger mark questions, like SURDs and completing the square, I helped her build the confidence to tackle the higher-tier papers. I'm proud to say she went on to achieve a Grade 7 in her final exams. Additionally, I regularly help my younger sister with her primary school work, helping me to develop the patience and adaptability skills needed to explain the same concept in multiple different ways and examples until it clicks and sticks to the student being taught.

Growing up, I've always been a visual learner; I understand that textbooks aren't always enough. I've used this to my advantage to turn it into my greatest teaching strength: I use my iPad to make every session interactive.I do this by breaking down complex topics with live diagrams, graphs, and real-life examples to break down exactly how a concept works. I also use the 'I do, we do, you do' approach to help build a genuine understanding of the topic. First, I model exactly how to tackle a high-mark exam question. Next, we collaborate on a second question and work through the steps required together. Finally, I let the student take the lead on their own, allowing them to apply their new skills with their own knowledge.
