I began teaching in a professional capacity whilst working in a hospital environment where I became a Clinical Educator for undergraduate Physiotherapy students from Universities in the region. The first session will include an informal discussion with parents/tutee to gain an understanding of the tutee's requirements and to explain my role and how I can aid learning. The tutee largely dictates the structure of the sessions, including the subjects they wish to focus on and their preferred learning style, which can be discussed during the first session. As the student develops, the structure can be adapted accordingly.

I enjoy showing you real-world applications of what we are studying. In our lessons, we will draw diagrams and break problems down into bite-size steps, and I will train you to ask yourself helpful questions such as "What do I already know?", "Is this a sensible answer?" and "Did I expect those units?".

My acquired skills in the university gave me the opportunity to teach learners mathematics and ICT according to the curriculum requirements, at different settings namely: elementary, high schools and post - compulsory education. Current Secondary Science Teacher specialising in Physics and Biology, Master of Education from Cambridge University alongside PGCE and 14 year's experience both in the UK and abroad in both private and UK state schools.

I have held a variety of positions from Classroom Teacher up to Head of Department but with a young family I have stepped back from management for the time being. I teach at a local state school in North Tyneside.
