As a part of my first degree, I developed essential and transferable scientific skills which I now teach my students. My project title was 'Synthesis and Biochemical Evaluation of Heat Shock Protein Hsp90 inhibitors on MCF-7 breast cancer cells'. After completing my D.Phil from the University of Oxford, I worked for 7 years as a Senior Biologist for a small drug discovery company where I was responsible for screening new drug targets in tissue models for human disease.
