I have been tutoring online since 2016 and do my tutoring using a virtual online classroom equipped with chat function, document/picture upload, graph function, math/science symbols etc and can be edited in real time - writing, typing, drawing.

We can upload past papers, do interactive quizzes, watch YouTube videos and much more.

My sessions are completely interactive. I have a whiteboard on which we can both upload documents, make notes, drawings, etc. You can also save parts of the board or all of it at the end of the session. We would use Zoom for audiovisuals.

I typically work with exam style questions after a short session of teaching/revision, but I can focus more one way depending on your needs. I usually leave a short bit of work to be done as assignment based on what we`ve done in the session which you can do at any time on the board after the session. Teaching Experience:
Since 2010, I have been tutoring in the academic subjects Maths and the individual Sciences; Biology, Chemistry & Physics.

I have taught at both primary- and secondary-school levels, with my students ranging between the ages of 6 and 16.

I can also help with entrance examinations for secondary school (including verbal and non-verbal reasoning), and I have provided mentorship and coaching when it comes to UCAS application forms, personal statements and CV writing.

Whilst I enjoyed some of the subjects at school, certain subjects and topics (including Maths!) didn't come naturally to me. I achieved 7A*s and 5A*s at GCSE, and went on to study Biology, Chemistry & Maths at A-Level.

I am yet to come across a student who doesn't possess the potential to improve. More often than not, it is the large class sizes at school, or a teacher whose approach isn't the right fit, which explains why a student doesn't understand a particular subject, or particular topics within that subject.

Through the 1-to-1 work I do with students, not only have I witnessed some remarkable grade improvements but also some amazing transformations in confidence. I strongly feel that the work I do is more than merely improving grades for exams.

⭐ My philosophy is that if you are struggling with a particular subject or topic, it's not your fault and there's nothing wrong with you. I recently completed a PhD in Bioengineering at Imperial College London, carrying out mathematical research on heart disease. My first degree was in Maths at the same university, and I took a Masters in Biomedical Research in between.

Tutoring Approach:
I provide a personalised tuition programme either ONLINE or in the tutee`s home. My tutoring style is very flexible and varies based upon the student`s needs. These needs are usually pinpointed within the first meeting and I tailor all sessions to the individual needs and requirements. I apply a variety of different teaching techniques and styles that I have found to be effective in order to make studying enjoyable, interesting as well as beneficial, helping students to reach their full potential.

I make structured lesson plans tailored to student`s needs and will set regular tasks to ensure full understanding of topics under discussion.

I have an excellent knowledge and experience of the current curriculum of all major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel and OCR) and I have relevant educational and exam materials.

My method of teaching greatly helps a student understand their subject and gives them the confidence needed to excel and succeed in their studies. I'm a second year biomedical science student. I took my A-Levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in 2019 and GCSEs in 2017 and having recently done these exams, I know just how challenging they are.

Being a student myself and having the experience of currently tutoring students who are doing their GCSEs and A-Levels, I know the methods that work best to help your child understand the content they need to know. I understand the way young people learn very well and the ways I teach reflect this - with an extensive focus on understanding (not memorising) and application to real-world contexts so your child can appreciate the reason behind learning what they learn. In addition to this, I offer extensive exam practice to ensure they understand their course, its structure, and how to maximise marks in their exams.

I currently work as a teaching assistant at a primary school, and I have taught and worked with children up to the age of 15, having experience in teaching at GCSE level and below. I'm a recent graduate of the university of Liverpool having studies chemistry BSc. I picked the course since i enjoyed chemistry at both GCSE and A level, creating a spark within me and led me to picking the challenging yet rewarding course. I'm currently employed as a Data Scientist working in London, and I've decided to pass on the passion in studying science to the younger generation by deciding to tutor. I believe Chemistry and Science in general hold the secrets and answers to many of the problems we currently face on a societal level, anything from global warming to world hunger. Science has the ability to produce unique and creative solutions to paramount, complex problems, thus i chose to study chemistry at university level.
