Personal Description:
I am currently teaching at one of the top independent schools for girls in Berkshire. I hold a PhD in chemistry, which gives me sound knowledge of the subject and I have completed my teacher training at the University of Cambridge.
I am told to be an approachable person which allows me to build a very good working relationship with my students. They are never afraid of asking questions and this gives me the opportunity to identify problems and rectify them quickly.

Teaching Experience:

I am a chemistry specialist and I have five years experience of teaching Edexcel IGCSE and OCR A/B A level qualifications in a high achieving school. I am also confident with the content of the AQA, OCR A/B and Edexcel GCSE and AQA and Edexcel A level specifications which I have been tutoring for many years.

Tutoring Approach:

I do not have a unique approach. All students are different and they have all different needs. I try building a relationship of trust and listen to what their needs are. Very often is the case that they lack confidence and they just need some reassurance. Chemistry is a challenging subject but most students can do very well provided they have self belief and are willing to work hard.

Personal Description:
Online and in person tuition available!

A little bit about me: I have my own tutoring business which I am currently running during my maternity leave. I am a University of Surrey MSci Biochemistry (Master of Science) graduate. Have completed half of my PGCE in secondary science teaching and currently on maternity leave. I have 10 years experience in teaching having taught over 100 students in the last 4 years. I am young and energetic whilst being knowledgable in most curriculums from pre-school all the way up to A- level.
*** PLEASE NOTE: I offer a consultation either in the student's home, online or over the phone. ***

Teaching Experience:

As a secondary school science teacher with over 10 years of tutoring experience and my own tutoring business, I tailor my lessons to everyone of students specifically. I approach teaching with a relaxed attitude where the student can really make the most out of every session without feeling bored or uncomfortable. I keep the sessions as interactive as possible and my teaching styles can be changed to suit every learning style!

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor every single lesson to every single individual I teach. My forte is teaching students without stressing, boring or tiring them. Most of my students repeat the comment "I can`t believe it is the end of the session, it went by so quickly!"; which is due to the fact that I make my lessons as engaging and fun as possible whilst not compromising on time or amount of content. Not many tutors are able to build a good relationship with their students by showing them they care about the individual rather than just each session. I LOVE teaching which is why I have not left the industry since I started. I can provide references from other parents/students proving to you how happy they have been with my service. I will not guarantee your child will achieve an A* in any given subject as that is also up to the student but I can guarantee that I will teach them as much as they can learn and make the lessons we have as fun, engaging and informative as possible.

Please Note: A surcharge will incur if I need to travel to you depending on distance. I have a fully enhanced DBS check (former CRB).

Teaching Experience:

• Over a decade of teaching experience in teaching and working with many London schools, including grammar and private schools
• Helped thousands of students achieve their true potential to be successful
• More than 90% of all my students went to Russel group universities (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial etc.)
• Most of my past students have achieved their qualifications from prestigious universities and worked for the top companies in the world.
• I have past students who are running successful businesses in the field of finance, accounting, medicine and research.
• I was lucky enough to be mentored by some of the best teachers from a relatively young age which helped me to train teachers and trainee teachers to be exceptional in their fields.
• I was branded "Super Tutor" by many tutoring agencies in London and the Middle east.
• I have been working with many highly privileged students from the Middle East, Asia and Russia.
• I have extensively worked with many finest tutoring agencies in London.
• I run intensive revision sessions for students in the summer to boost their performance.

Tutoring Approach:

• I believe every student is unique, including their way of learning. My success as a great teacher is because of my teaching adaptation to match students' needs and learning styles.
• I always held high expectations of my student, and I firmly believe everyone has the potential to achieve greatness, irrespective of their current state.
• I believe in each student's capacity and what they can achieve. I have always seen my past and present students break their barriers of limitations and achieve great results.
• I teach students to the optimum zone where a task is not too easy or not too hard but just right. This approach would keep the task interesting for students and is one of the critical components in my teaching success.
• I always establish mutual respect as it brings out the best in the students in my classes.
• I break down the complex ideas in science and maths into simple, manageable chunks of information, which the student later recombines to form the original complex concepts.
• During my lessons, I facilitate students to think and use logic to understand the concepts by nudging their thinking in the right direction. This caused the student to take the learning into their hand and avoid rote learning.
• I focus more on accuracy and speed during exam time by giving them exam techniques and tips. This method would boost their confidence and brings results.
• Due to my extensive experience with subjects, concepts, and exam boards, I know where students struggle the most and what mistakes they can make. This expertise allows me to address them while I teach, eliminating the chance of them occurring in the first place.
• I also monitor students regularly and give feedback to the parent/guardian in due time.

Personal Description:
I tutor 1 to 1 from my house in Goodmayes, Ilford (IG3 9) or online to UK/International students (through Zoom/Skype) so please stop reading if you are not willing to do any of these.

What I offer (during and outside school hours):

A-Level: Biology
GCSE: Maths, English, Science
KS3: Maths, English, Science
13+: Maths, English, Science
11+: Maths, English, Science, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning
KS2: Maths, English, Science
KS1: Maths, English, Science
7+: Maths, English, Science, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning
4+: Maths, English, Science, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning

I am a First-class graduate from Imperial College London and a PGCE (teaching qualification) graduate from UCL IoE, and it is my ambition that my students surpass me.

I aspire to offer a 'super tutor' service (e.g. £1500 per hour) and help compensate for an education inferior to the best education in England (e.g. £65000 per year) at a relatively low price. Also, the coronavirus situation has caused a big dent in the education of many children and I try to ensure through my tuition that my students are successful in spite of it.

Teaching Experience:

I am a qualified teacher (DBS checked) and have over 4000 hours of tutoring experience, with students ranging from 4-18 years old.

On top of that, I also helped my brother gain entry into Cambridge University for Economics and have seen countless other students succeed under my mentorship (e.g. getting entry into schools, achieving KS1/KS2/GCSE/A Level grades, getting entry into universities/studying courses). This is because I recognise that there is a process and that if students follow that process, they are guaranteed to succeed.

Tutoring Approach:

I try my best to make learning enjoyable for students but I also have high expectations as I believe every student has it in them to achieve the top grades.

Almost all the students that have come to me have improved and rapidly because of:

- First-class teaching
- Free homework after each lesson
- Mentoring/coaching/advice
- Increased confidence
- Better mental health for exams

Testimonials:

'He helped my daughter get into Forest School. The homework and regular advice really made all the difference. We cannot thank him enough.' - Mr. Atwal

'Starting with him was the best decision I made for my son's education. He did so much better in his GCSEs than we expected. He was on track for Ds and Es and managed to get nearly all A*-B! Imagine what Umar could've achieved if we'd found him earlier!' - Mrs. Ahmed

'Vinay helped me so much with A Level Biology. I got an A (very nearly an A*) and am now studying Dentistry at university.' - Raman

I look forward to working with your children and ensuring they can achieve the vision that you have for them!

Personal Description:
I am a qualified and practising teacher currently working in a comprehensive school in the North West. I am experienced in teaching Chemistry and I am able to offer tuition for A Level and GCSE. I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First Class BSc (Hons) Biochemistry and Genetics degree and completed a Chemistry PGCE at Liverpool John Moores University.

I am a friendly, professional and approachable person. I am able to work flexible hours after school in order to fit in with your requirements.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught AQA A Level and GCSE Chemistry for the last eight years. I am confident and knowledgeable on the specifications and structure and style of the exam questions. I have worked with all abilities of students on the exam techniques that they need to achieve in their exams. I have access to all the relevant teaching resources and knowledge needed to improve your understanding of Chemistry.

I have tutored Chemistry for seven years. I supported these students to improve their confidence in order to achieve their target grades or above.

Tutoring Approach:

I support students to develop their understanding of the key concepts within Chemistry and to build up their knowledge from there. This allows students to build confidence and consolidate prior learning. I use a variety of resources to aid retention and a lot of exam questions to practice exam technique. I will challenge students in order to help them achieve the best grades that they can in their exams. I encourage students to take ownership of their own learning throughout also preparing them for future study. All resources are included within my hourly fee.

Personal Description:
Hello, I'm Alexander, I'm 23 and I'm from Essex. I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Organic Chemistry at University College London. I graduated from the Univesity of Leicester with a masters degree in Chemistry (With A Year Abroad) in July 2018. I am able to teach chemistry well up to University level, with preference toward A-Level and GCSE standards. I can also assist in the learning of Phyiscs and Maths up to GCSE level.

Teaching Experience:

I have experience tutoring pupils at GCSE and A-Level standard and since becoming a post-graduate student I have undertaken giving first and second year undergraduates tutorials in organic chemistry and working as a demonstrator in laboratory sessions of the same pupils.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to identify my tutees core weaknesses early on, strengthen these as a priority and build from there with respect to other topics, trying to ensure everything's kept at a level playfield, and so the tutee becomes just as comfortable with what they were struggling with initially, with respect to topics they were confident about. I do this by using a variety of methods including specimen questions and information, using my own resources that I can tailor around a specific tutees needs and asking the tutee to put information they've read or been taught, into their own words so they understand the processes more clearly.

Personal Description:
I am an experienced teacher and home tutor, able to offer all three sciences to A level and Maths to GCSE/Additional.

I am happy to provide references from amongst the many parents of past students who have agreed to this.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught biology and the other sciences in independent secondary schools for many years, and have tutored these subjects and maths, also for many years.

Tutoring Approach:

Generally speaking, my approach to tutoring is to find out from the student, either directly or through trying out questions, which topics they are finding tricky, or hard to remember, and to go through the important elements with the student. I tend to ask questions as we go, and write down, for the student`s future reference, aids to memory and vital points which are essential for understanding the topic.

I routinely bring to a tuition my set of revision guides which contains up-to-date syllabus information from all of the well-known exam boards.

Personal Description:
Enthusiastic and hardworking private tutor, currently studying Engineering at St John's College Oxford, tutoring during the holidays and term time. I'm offering tutoring for the PAT entrance test and advice for Oxford admissions, as well as lessons in Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry up to A-Level, in person (in Cambridge) or online.

Teaching Experience:

I've gained 6 months experience tutoring students up to A-level, both independently and as part of the tutoring agency UK Study Centre. I'm providing guidance and support for Oxford admissions, specifically for subjects requiring the PAT entrance exam, including personal statement writing, interview and exam preparation. I've achieved top grades in 12 GCSEs and 4 A-levels, giving me experience in converting understanding and exam technique into results in exam situations. I've been awarded a scholarship at Oxford in 1st year, which has required a diligent work ethic and thorough preparation for deadlines, skills that help me to provide well planned and entertaining lessons for students.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to provide an interactive and engaging learning experience, and be flexible with lesson content and resources suited to your needs and expectations. I strive to teach through underlying concepts and understanding, producing a genuine interest in the subject matter. I combine this with a focus on good exam technique and practice to help you achieve the results you want.

Personal Description:
I have been working with children and teaching for over 20 years. I love teaching children of all ages. I really enjoy seeing children progress and their confidence grow. This is one of the reasons I really like tutoring, due to the progress being so rapid.

I live in Nuthall, Nottinghamshire with my husband and two children. Since having children, I have worked part time in schools and also I have done lots of tutoring.

Although I enjoy teaching a variety of subjects in Primary schools, I enjoy teaching maths the most. I think this is because I found it so hard at school. I really understand the barriers a lot of children have in maths and love to help them to develop a love of it.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a primary school teacher for 17 years. I have taught mainly in key stage 2 but I have experience of key stage one.

I have worked mainly in year 6 preparing children to pass their SATs and also I have tutored children to pass their 11+ exams. Being a year 6 teacher for such a long time has made me extremely confident in helping children to revise and succeed in their assessments.

I have worked closely with children who have additional needs throughout my career and I have attended lots of training in the past to support this. During the school day I tutor a large number of children who are not in education (for various reasons) and have lots of experience in helping these children.

I will adapt learning to the individual need of your child/children. Making it as interactive and fun as possible.

Although I am trained in Primary I am happy to work with secondary children who need additional support too.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to try tailor the sessions to meet the needs of the individual. I love doing this because it is something that all children need but as a classroom teacher of 30 is not always possible.

If your child needs active learning, if they need lots of repetition to make the learning stick then I can do that. I will try to make the learning as fun as possible and I will also provide home tasks (optional) to support your child's learning in between sessions.

Any questions or just for some advice or a chat please get in touch. I also run group sessions each week which are obviously cheaper than the 1:1 option.

Personal Description:
I recently graduated from LSE with a BSc in Financial Mathematics and Statistics, and I'm set to begin an MSc in Applied AI at Warwick.

Maths primary school, 11-14 years, GCSE and A-Level tutoring.
Further Maths A-Level tutoring.
Chemistry GCSE A-Level tutoring.

I achieved 9s in GCSE Maths and Chemistry, and A*s in A-Level Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry.

Based in Elstree. Willing to travel to Borehamwood, Radlett, Bushey, Stanmore.

+£5 for Edgware, Mill Hill, Harrow, Watford and Barnet

Teaching Experience:

I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience across a range of age groups. I began by supporting younger students in Years 3-4 with Maths and English at school, and helped organise assemblies to build their confidence and communication.

In sixth form, I tutored GCSE Maths students (Years 10-11), helping them prepare for exams with structured revision and personalised support.

I also currently teach Religious Education at Sunday School, where I lead weekly sessions focused on values, reflection, and critical thinking in a faith-based context.

These experiences have helped me develop a calm, clear teaching style that's adaptable to different students' needs and learning styles.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching style is calm, structured, and tailored to each student. I begin by identifying their strengths, gaps, and preferred learning style, and then adapt my sessions accordingly.

I guide students through concepts using worked examples and intuitive explanations, and encourage active problem-solving so they build confidence step by step. I never just give the answer-instead, I offer prompts and hints to help students arrive at solutions themselves.

I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and confidence-building. Once a topic is understood, I support students with targeted exam-style questions and past paper strategies.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, but I'm flexible depending on what a student needs that day.

My goal is to make maths and chemistry feel manageable - even enjoyable - by helping students feel genuinely prepared and capable, not just memorising steps before an exam.
