Tutoring Approach:
During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs. Every lesson will begin with an outline of the subject content and the intended aims. The key to success in maths and economics is to do it! With that in mind, the vast majority of lessons will entail methodically working through problems and exam style questions to ensure my students are as well prepared for their modules as possible. I am freelance tutor providing assignments tutorial support to students studying under and postgraduate courses in Economics, Business Management, Marketing, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Business Statistics and Nursing, Projects and Dissertations including Data Analysis, Dissertation research proposal writing support as well as editing .

Teaching Experience:
My background is medicine and moved to business specialising in services marketing. I have years of experience as a senior clinical bedside instructor for medical and nursing students then later spent years as training consultant for HIV/AIDS, Sexual health and Health and Social care professionals. I have also worked as senior lecturer for Glyndwr university London campus teaching BA students Principles of Marketing & Business practice, Global Marketing, Customer Relationship Management and MBA students, Strategic Marketing and Strategic Management, Financial Management, Research Methods, Project Management and supervising students on projects and dissertation. I have been a private tutor since 1999.
My recent tutorial work (June-August 2020) was with UNICAF Malawi university during which I supervised and supported MBA students who were studying remotely online

Tutoring Approach:
I use student problem identification approach which means I encourage students to identify and communicate to me what they are experiencing as a problem in their specific topics in their studies and then based either face to face or online, I focus on these specified identified problems. The benefit of this approach is that it encourages the student to study, engage and interact. with me as well as providing me the basis for my own post tutoring assessment to whether my tutorial is making the difference. All my tutorials are highly interactive as I use questions and discussion with the students to make sure that they have understood. There are also min activities at the end of every tutorial as well as homework for students to do in every subject I tutor. These are mainly based on past exam papers and are aimed at developing students' confidence and self belief and develop skills they need to succeed in their exams.

My name is Adam and I'm based just outside Crewkerne in Somerset.

After studying Physics at the University of Bristol, I have spent the past 10 years working in the field of sustainable buildings. Alongside my professional career, I spent five years working as a private tutor between 2016 and 2021. I then took a short break from tutoring as my two sons were born, and I am now looking forward to supporting new students once again.

I specialise in Maths and Physics at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I understand that these subjects can feel intimidating at times - I believe that by starting simple and building up step by step, any student can gain confidence and tackle even the most complicated problems. I enjoy helping young people to surprise themselves with how much they can learn and achieve.

I have five years of tutoring experience (2016-2021), supporting students at KS3, GCSE and A-level in both Maths and Physics, as well as one student applying to Oxford. Experience includes leadership in military environments under extreme pressure where the requirement for a types of leadership qualities was essential to achieve objectives, often in extremely demanding situations. A cool head and the ability to think on my feet enabled the development and achievement of my leadership qualities allowing me to translate that into the qualifications I now possess and being invited by some of the leading universities in the UK to deliver.

I am a businessman who teaches. Employed in the Media industry I have worked for some of the largest national Newspapers and Magazines in the UK. Launched my own media business and operated it successfully for many years before concentrating fully on y Teaching work.

Teaching Experience:
Worked for a wide variety of colleges and universities. In London I worked on the Global Business Module at University of Westminster and Regents University London. At LSST I delivered their Diploma in Business Studies course. At Uni West I was one of their A1 Assessors for the Harrow area. In the Bournemouth region I have worked at St Peters School, Southbourne teaching Y 11 and Y 12 their BTEC National Business Studies course . At Parkstone Grammer I worked with GCSE Y 9 and 10 delivering their Business Studies and Economics courses.
