As a part of my first degree, I developed essential and transferable scientific skills which I now teach my students. My project title was 'Synthesis and Biochemical Evaluation of Heat Shock Protein Hsp90 inhibitors on MCF-7 breast cancer cells'. I specialised on studies, on how drugs are discovered, developed and used to treat diseases. My name is Adam and I'm based just outside Crewkerne in Somerset.

After studying Physics at the University of Bristol, I have spent the past 10 years working in the field of sustainable buildings. Alongside my professional career, I spent five years working as a private tutor between 2016 and 2021. I then took a short break from tutoring as my two sons were born, and I am now looking forward to supporting new students once again!

I specialise in tutoring Maths and Physics at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I understand that these subjects can feel intimidating at times - I believe that by starting simple and building up step by step, any student can gain confidence and tackle even the most complicated problems. I have five years of tutoring experience (2016-2021), supporting students at KS3, GCSE and A-level in both Maths and Physics, as well as one student applying to Oxford. During this time I helped many students build confidence and achieve strong results, including grade improvements at A-level. After a short break while my two sons were born, I am now returning to tutoring and look forward to helping new students succeed.
