2018-2019

KS 2 SATS - NJ had given up working in year 6. After my support he won a prize for writing and scored 113 and 117 in his English papers.

Scholarships - CA was a Grade 4 in History GCSE. He needed a grade 7 to obtain a scholarship. After my support CA gained his grade 7, got his scholarship and recently went on to gain a grade 9 in the actual GCSE securing his place at Rugby School.

GCSE- MS was at a good independent school and in top set. However, she was scoring at grade 2 in her English Language and English Literature mock exams. With my help MS went on to gain two level 7s for both her English GCSE exams.

Post Grads - S, A, I were all on a PGA at Warwick University. To get onto the MA course they needed to gain a distinction on their PGA assignments. With my support, all three transferred to the MA course.

Personal Description:
I am both a qualified accountant and qualified teacher. I achieved an Honours Degree in Commerce from Napier (Edinburgh) and then was lucky enough to find an employer who would put me through my CIMA accountancy exams.

I worked as an accountant for 14 years, before making the decision to train as a secondary teacher (Business Education).

I have a passion for accountancy and teaching.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for 23 years - 20 years in secondary education and for the past 5 years I have been a College lecturer, teaching Accounting subjects from school to Degree level.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a very student centred approach to tutoring. It's important that I find out what the student needs help with and I tailor my lessons to suit... that's what teaching is all about. I like an informal environment, but will always be 100% prepared for the lessons.

I am qualified to tutor in accountancy, business management and administration.

Personal Description:
I have experience of working in one of the big 4 Accounting firms as well as industry as a qualified Accountant. Tutoring comes natural to me,with years of experience under my belt . I have done classroom teaching of A level students on a part time basis where i taught Accounting, i have also done one on one tutoring for subjects like Maths , English at primary level. I have experience teaching students from primary level from year 4 to year 11 up to A level as well as professional level. I also provide learning for Accounting professionals doing AAT, degree and CIMA

Growing up my parents were both in the teaching field and i acquired skills of learning and how to share knowledge with others. I endeavour to deliver the best and create a comfortable learning environment for my students. They should free to ask questions and there wont be such a thing as a silly question in other words an environment where the students can express themselves without feeling judged. I aim to get all my students to pass with flying colours and achieve their career goals.

I am available Saturdays from 10am till 6pm and weekdays after 6pm till 9pm.

Teaching Experience:
I have had over 3 years worth of experience teaching and supporting students from A level to Master degree level.

Tutoring Approach:
I use a combination of providing learning materials and also using the students learning resources. I am open to mainly online tutoring but can also do in person in areas around Leeds UK.

I am a Business English Tutor, with a Bachelor's degree in Economics for Business and Marketing. I have spent over 20 years in Corporate, especially in the banking area, where I have gained a lot of experience.
I have 15 years of teaching different Business subjects, I am also a CELTA Cambridge teacher.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught over 1500 lessons, helping my students gain skills and confidence. I know the corporate environment very well, and I would be happy to share my knowledge with you. Thanks to my travels, I can adapt to any culture and adjust my lessons accordingly. I love talking to people and cannot wait to learn more about you. I teach Economics for Business, Accounting, Marketing, Principles of Management and Skills for Business.

Tutoring Approach:
My teaching style is primarily student centred, and I adapt my teaching style in order to cater for everyone and make the material as interesting as possible.
I like to use different books, exercises, colorful PowerPoint slides and even videos where possible to demonstrate my learning points. I believe this is something which increases student interest significantly, and from my experience, leads to a better learning experience overall.
I am highly effective at behavioural management, and focus on the three R's of RESPECT, RESPONSE and the RIGHT way to learn. These have served me well over time.
Finally, I have an approachable, inclusive style of teaching that is sufficiently flexible enough to cater for a diverse range of learning styles, needs and requirements.
