Testimonials
"Thank you for your help over the past few weeks with my remaining assignments, I now feel a lot more confident about writing essays and reports, and I am on track for a 2:1 with the results I have received recently.

I think your teaching methods are very good, particularly as from experience, other tutors tend just to write comments on your work on how to improve it, but this isn't enough if you want to really understand your work, which is particularly vital for a final year student (like me) who will be sitting exams in May.

However, by using a mixture of Skype and written feedback sessions, I have been able to not only achieve good grades but also build upon each assignment in preparation for the next.

As well as this, you have completely calmed my nerves about my work, particularly during the quality assignment that you helped me with back in January!

I would highly recommend you to anyone who may be in need of a tutor...

Thanks again!"
(Ms Liv, Dated 26/04/2014)

"He listens well and always put a positive spin on things. Before I met him I was very stressed with the amount of work, he was very reassuring which gave me a confidence boost."
(Tutee Ms M, 24/03/2013)

"he is not only a good teacher, but he was also a good friend" (Tutee: Mr M, 23/03/2012)

"I'm writing to you to thank you first for the effort that you did with me in preparing for the exam for MIS. I got 60 in the exam. So, that's why I would like to continue work with you in preparing for other exams this term."
(Tutee Ms D, 18/02/2011)

Personal Description:
I am a Chartered Certified Accountant, MBA (Finance) and Diploma in Cost and Management Accountant. I work full-time as Finance Manager for a big multination organisation based in Milton Keynes. I am trained as accountant from one of the top 15 accountancy firm. Having post qualification experience of 12 years in accountancy and finance.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring accounting and finance for more than 15 years with an excellent pass rate and student feedback. I have taught student in groups, class and individually.
I am enjoying teaching and helping students, for me connectivity between student and me is the most important thing. I work extremely hard to make the delivery of subject material understandable as possible.
Key highlights of my experience are:

-Tutored more than 1000 students on a 1-1 basis, in group and in class
-Taught student from age group 12 - 63
-Taught students for nearly every university of England and Wales.
-DBS checked
-Home visits and online.
-Have taught professionals and specialists in accountancy.

I have also taught many students URDU as a second language, again at all levels.

Tutoring Approach:

The experiences that I have gained as a student and during my career in the financial/business sector coupled with my knowledge and enthusiasm are used in my teaching. I have the ability to understand the needs of students and adapt my teaching on an individual basis which allows for the best outcome for my students.
Tutoring is all about getting student connected, once I get connected with student, it easier to teach and train the student regardless what ever the subject matter is. I make sure all the students are aware of exam techniques. (How to score good marks in exam). I have been teaching online and face to face from more than 10 years.

I am also assisting students with any assignment they require. I done more than 1000 research papers and taught more than 500 individual students

Tutoring Approach:

I think for teaching one has to come to the level of the student and also one must be aware of the requirement of the specific paper with reference to exam I mean exam approach teaching is the best of all. I believe in quality of the lecture not the length of it.

Firstly, the students needs have to be understood and then the tutoring phase will carefully outlined and tutees will be taught according to their needs. Questions will be encouraged throughout the session as these are important for higher understanding.

Personal Description:
I have completed a Masters degree in Creative Writing. I completed my undergraduate studying BA Creative Writing and English Literature with 2:1. I'm aware that English and History are complex and intriguing subjects but I firmly believe that a thorough understanding and practise of techniques will enable to provide you with a firm base for any student to succeed. I am keen, conscientious, hardworking and reliable person.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring privately for 14 years. I have worked with a wide range of ages and academic abilities from different schools such as private, public, grammar, boarding, faith schools and academies.
I worked as an Literacy Assessment Assistant where i taught Year 8, Year 10, Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13.
I worked as an Exams Officer Assistant for 6 months. I was a English Graduate Assistant in a high school where I had exposure to lesson and administration relating to the curriculum.
I have completed a Literacy Leadership Award and I was assessed on my ability to plan and prepare a literacy activity. I had to show communication and motivational skills through delivering literacy across the curriculum. Having observed teachers, I was able to learn interesting techniques that are used to teach Key stage 3 and 4 students. From this experience, I was taught how to plan and structure a lesson i.e. the starter, an introduction, an interactive main activity and the plenary; how to use verbal and non-verbal communication successfully.
I have also worked closely with my peers on A Level courses such as English and History by delivering revision sessions and presenting my ideas on literary texts, articles and academic research.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tuition includes a variety of techniques and strategies in order to guide and motivate the learner. I will set personalised targets with my students and their parents in order to achieve the desired results. I also intend to provide you with a personalized programme that is best suited to your individual needs. I'm very enthusiastic and try to make learning a fun experience, using different ways of learning. Prices of lessons can be negotiated.
"She's a good listener. She tries to make people understand something in a way that makes you feel comfortable. She involved everyone in the discussion even the quiet ones and always tries to find new ways of explaining things. Revision sessions were really useful and I think the main reason was because she just loves helping other people whether it is people younger or the same age. Everyone went home feeling slightly more confident about the exam including me. She makes sure that everybody understands even if it has to be explained more than once." (Aarti, 18, student)
"Charnjit has a way of making the impossible- possible. She is patient with her students and will try her hardest to make people understand. She has a way of teaching which involves a lot of group work and a one-one session where she will answer any questions from the stupidest to the smartest. After having few sessions with her I went into my exam confidently. Most importantly, she never gives up on anyone." (Rahwa, student)
"Charnjit's teaching style is unique and possesses many qualities. She is patient and constantly checks for understanding in order to go over things if the topic is not understood straight away. She uses a variety of techniques such as group brain storming in order to get the class involved which is very effective. During our group revision sessions she used this technique which worked well as it got everybody thinking, talking and interacting which was useful when remembering theorists and certain dates. She also categorised the theorists into groups based on their research which was also helpful for revision as it broke down the amount of theorists into smaller groups which were easier to remember. In addition, Charnjit is very good at keeping the class' attention which is very important as a teacher." (Stefanie, student)

Personal Description:
I am 54 years old, I am married with four children. I have a degree ( Joint Honours, 2.1 in Agriculture with Agricultural Economics) and a Cert Ed. I am a member of the Institute for Learning. I have taught a wide range of subjects over 28 years and am able to coach you to success whether you are looking for science, geography, Excel spreadsheets, English as a Foreign Language or even French and German ( I worked in both countries when I was younger)

Teaching Experience:

I can help you prepare for exams in Geography, Biology, Ecology, French and German. I have taught English as a Foreign Language over many years. I can also help you with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, particularly for Business. I am a patient, enthusiastic and committed teacher with 28 years experience particularly with post 16 and adult education. I have taught agriculture and related topics over that time, and very much enjoyed diversifying my teaching portfolio as new courses arose at the college. I have taught a range of biology and geography related topics, including plant and soil science, crop science, crop production, livestock production, environmental issues, ecology, woodland management. In business I have helped many people develop diverse enterprises, preparing carefully costed cash flow projections. I very much enjoy seeing people develop confidence with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, which are an invaluable tool.

Tutoring Approach:

I am convinced that one-to-one tuition is by far the most efficient way in which a person can progress and gain confidence. Often someone can grasp a topic in 5 minutes of one-to-one that would have taken 2 hours to cover with a larger group. Once you are confident with a topic, we move on rapidly to the next one. A current A level tutee of mine told his father "I learnt more in that 2 hour session than I have all term at school" and his headteacher wrote to congratulate him on his improved grades. (The reason for this is not that his teacher is bad, far from it, but a tutor can give you personal one-to-one attention, concentrating on the bits you need) I always ensure that the learners are confident with each step before progressing further.

Personal Description:
Hi I'm Niall, a chartered accountant with an Economics degree from The University of Reading. I was twice awarded silver at the UK Maths Challenge and achieved grade A at both A-level and GCSE.

My passion to teach started when I volunteered in a secondary school while at university, then volunteered abroad after. I then provided private tuition for several years at GCSE and A-level mostly for maths, helping improve children's grades.

Teaching Experience:

Taught Maths to students aged 11-18 at a secondary school whilst in my second year at university.
Taught Maths and English to students in Turkey at a primary school and secondary school.
Several years private tuition experience for maths, science and German at GCSE and A-level.

Tutoring Approach:

Studying and revising shouldn't be a chore and I believe I can bring to life my subjects. Everyone learns differently and there are many methods to ensure the student is on the right learning curve.

Personal Description:
DO YOU NEED A TUTOR FOR EXAMS/RE-SIT EXAMS THIS YEAR? LOOK NO FURTHER!

GRADE 1 OUTSTANDING - OFSTED (from 2002 to 2024!)
I have been the Head of Accounting since 2006, at a large Catholic Sixth Form College in Hulme, Manchester. I am 46 years old, living in Didsbury, South Manchester. I gained my degree in Economics and Finance in 1998 from Leicester University. I began teaching in 2002 so have many years of experience teaching Accounting.

I mainly offer tuition at my home, or a local library, either at the weekend, or weekday evenings. However, I am usually able to offer tuition during the school/college holidays.

Teaching Experience:

I completed my PGCE at Manchester University in 2002. I only teach Accounting AS and A2 Level, and this is therefore my main specialism. I can also help students in need of tutoring on the Finance elements of the Business Studies A Level, or on Accounting/Finance elements of Business/Accounting/Finance degree courses.

I teach the AQA specification.

Many tutors are not willing to advertise the results they have achieved with students. I recommend you read the section below on the results i have achieved with my A Level Accounting students.

Also, many tutors seem to offer tuition in a wide variety of subjects. Are they really specialists in so many different subjects? I am an Accounting specialist, and only offer tuition in Accounting or the Finance elements of a Business course. If you need a Maths tutor, then hire a Maths specialist. If you need an Accounting tutor, then hire me!

Tutoring Approach:

Many other tutors seem to describe their strategies/relationships etc, without mentioning anything concrete like exam results! Surely the one thing a prospective student wants to know about is exam results!?!? Read on.

I have an incredibly strong track record of results at A Level Accounting. Compare the results of my students against the national benchmarks below. Please compare the difference between my students, and the benchmarks. We are WAY ahead!

My A Level Accounting students in 2022:

Grade A*-B = 79%

Benchmark A2 Accounting 2022:

Grade A*-B = 43%

Each department within the college is graded according to the college's own internal validation procedure. I have been graded as 1 'OUTSTANDING' for 17 years on the row, since I became head of the department!!!

The Accounting department was also graded as 1 'OUTSTANDING' in the last OFSTED report in Jan 2023. Key Findings from Ofsted:

"A high proportion of students achieve grades A and B. In A-Level Accounting more than two thirds of students gained a high grade (A-B). In AS Accounting, almost four times the national average achieved a high grade (A-B)."

I have been awarded grade 1 on the ALPS measure for value added on 3 separate occasions in recent years. This means i add more value to my students than any other college in the country. Value added measures the difference between what the Government predicts a student should achieve at A Level based on their GCSE performance and what they actually achieve.

Here are the previous years results, so you can see that the performance is ALWAYS impressive, and WAY ABOVE benchmark.

Personal Description:
I have taught, supervised and mentored more than 1000 BSc, MSc and PhD students from around the world to deliver individual and team projects. I worked as a trainer, programme leader and module coordinator in the courses on IT Strategy and Management, Global Business and Sustainable Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Public Sector Management and Research Methods (Qualitative & Quantitative), supervising & managing research projects, (re)developing curricula for eLearning, producing course syllabi and designing evaluation methods together with colleagues and support staff in various UK and European universities.

Teaching Experience:

I am competent in most subjects within Management and Economics programmes and have extensive experience in thesis and assignment supervision, research guidance as well as academic writing.

MSc Dissertation in Project Management with A. - I worked with A. to help her with her MSc Dissertation in Project Management. I clarified the key issues and concepts, helped her develop a plan and a reading as well as reference list. Tutored her academic writing skills and coached her throughout the entire process. She was almost sure she would have failed, yet not only she ended up enjoying the time dedicated to her dissertation, but she also achieved a merit.

MSc dissertation in Economics with I. - I. was confused about the literature and the research for his course work and dissertation, he was also worried about his writing style. With regular sessions with me, I. gained the understanding and tools to improve his research and writing and submit his course work dissertation on time.

Research Methods (MBA dissertation) with P. - I helped P. prepare a first class approach for the research methodology of his MBA dissertation and to identify articles in arabic that were relevant for his topic.

BSc, Project Management Essay with J. - J. was under intense time pressure to deliver his project management essay and prepare for his exams at the same time. I worked with him two days in a row so that he could achieve high results in both.

BSc, Management, Accounting & Economic Philosophy assignments tuition with T. - T. is a hard working student from China. Unfortunately, his brilliance and knowledge was not emerging following his first essay results. Working with him 2/4 hours per week for 4 months, T. is now confident again he can truly express his knowledge and get the results he deserves.

BSc, Microeconomics tuition with H. - I worked with H., a native English speaker understand the way to approach and revise for her micro-economics module. She requested one week of intense online tuition, albeit the exam was imminent in one month. H. has now successfully completed the module

BSc, Advanced Economics Subjects, Econometrics (essay based) with V. - I worked 2 and half months giving V. 2-5 hours of tuition every day to prepare for his exams and coursework. V. learning needs had to be tailored to his special needs: being a dyslexic student I had to stimulate his learning ability and memory skills using visual aids and ad hoc examples. Even if the subjects were highly technical he benefited immensely from my dedicated approach, exclusive to him.

MBA dissertation with H. - H. was a full-time working mum of two children with special needs and had very little time to complete her MBA dissertation which was due in two months when we started. Working evenings and weekends with me H. was able to complete and submit her thesis on time and still thanks me for it!

BSc, Economic Development, Regulation, Business & Management with S. - I gave S. tutoring in three final year BSc subjects helping him increase his grades and better plan for his revision in order to use her time well.

PhD Management tutoring with K. - K. is one of my current tutees studying for a PhD in management. We have highly intellectual sessions on his research progress and he consults with me regularly on all aspects of his PhD studies.

Economic Development BSc exam preparation with J. - J. needed to discuss his understanding of the module to better prepare for his exam. He requested me to have regular questions and answers sessions one a week for two weeks with him so that any knowledge gaps could be filled. Our tutorials helped him relieve the stress and anxiety of the exam preparation.

TESTIMONIALS:

The feedback Diego gave me was a clear view on how to improve my work

Diego has been very helpful and gives clear information. His classes are very interesting and I have chosen his courses because of his approach.

Diego is a wonderful tutor. His teaching approach towards the subject has made me develop my interest in it.

Diego, for my personal opinion, has been really helpful for me to understand the real meaning of the subject.

The tutoring Diego gave me was great and I wouldn't have been able to do my essay to a good standard without his help!

I am happy with tutoring sessions with Diego, as I was trying to establish the research methods and his advice was helpful.

As a dyslexic final year undergraduate, I would not have been able to complete my revision on time without Diego's tutorials.

I have tutored online for over 3000 hours and find that for Economics and Business Studies it is as good as in person, if not better, since it is much easier to send model paragraphs and diagrams. I endeavour to make sure my students feel as comfortable as possible and encourage them to ask questions because asking questions is the best way to learn. My sessions are always tailored to the students' individual requirements and are focused around the specific requirements of the exam. Parents often remark that their child is much more confident with the subject following sessions with me.

Personal Description:
I am a compassionate and dedicated individual with a strong drive to support and empower young people, especially those facing educational challenges. My personality is warm, patient, and approachable, which helps me build rapport and trust with children and young adults alike. I pride myself on my creativity, always thinking outside the box to make learning engaging and relevant. I am flexible, proactive, and committed to going the extra mile to help my learners reach their full potential.

In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities like gardening and caring for animals. I also love exploring creative pursuits such as cooking and crafting, which I often incorporate into my teaching to make learning practical and hands-on. Additionally, I have a passion for classic games like Upwords, Cribbage, and Sudoku, which challenge my mind and help me relax. Spending quality time with my family and my pets brings me great joy, and I find fulfilment in making a positive impact in my community.

Teaching Experience:

I approach my role with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability, understanding that each child or client has unique needs, preferences, and circumstances that can change over time. In working with young people, especially those with additional needs, I have found that being responsive and adaptable is key to creating a supportive and effective learning environment.

I tailor my approach to each individual, adjusting my teaching and mentoring methods based on their strengths, challenges, and moods. For example, with children who may become overwhelmed or anxious, I am prepared to adjust the pace or format of activities and introduce calming or sensory-friendly strategies. When working with children who have ADHD or other attention challenges, I incorporate active breaks or hands-on tasks to keep them engaged and focused.

In addition to adapting to the needs of the child, I also remain flexible with parents and clients, accommodating scheduling changes or shifts in focus as needed to best support the child's overall development. My ability to adapt has proven essential in supporting each young person as they progress, ensuring they have the stability, encouragement, and responsiveness they need to succeed.

Overall, my flexibility allows me to meet each child and client where they are, creating a responsive and personalized approach that promotes both comfort and growth.

I have extensive experience working with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, dyslexia, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and other complex needs. My approach is grounded in patience, empathy, and adaptability, allowing me to connect with each child in a way that respects their individual learning style and pace.

With children on the autism spectrum, I focus on creating a predictable and supportive environment that reduces anxiety and enhances engagement. I use visual aids, structured routines, and sensory-friendly strategies to help them feel comfortable and supported. For those with ADHD, I incorporate short, engaging tasks and active breaks to aid focus and reduce frustration. My goal is to make learning feel dynamic and manageable, fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation.

When working with students with dyslexia, I employ multi-sensory approaches and tailored resources that help them process information more effectively, with a focus on building confidence in reading and writing. For children with SEMH needs, I prioritize creating a safe space where they feel heard, validated, and supported in managing their emotions. I incorporate therapeutic activities and life skills training to help them develop resilience, self-regulation, and positive coping strategies.

Throughout my work with SEN children, I adapt my teaching and mentoring approaches to meet each child's specific requirements, helping them build not only academic skills but also essential life skills. I am passionate about supporting these young people to reach their full potential, whatever their starting point or challenges.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that building and maintaining effective working relationships is essential for creating a supportive and collaborative environment, whether with colleagues, children, clients, or parents.

In my work, I prioritise open communication, empathy, and mutual respect. With colleagues, I strive to be a reliable team player who values others' insights and expertise. I actively contribute to shared goals and offer support whenever needed, recognizing that each team member brings unique skills and perspectives. Collaboration allows us to create a more cohesive approach to supporting children, especially those with complex needs, where consistency is key.

When working with children, I focus on building trust and rapport by being approachable, patient, and respectful of each child's unique personality and needs. I create a safe space where they feel valued and supported, which helps them engage more openly and confidently. This foundation of trust not only enhances learning but also fosters their emotional growth.

With clients, I aim to establish strong professional relationships grounded in transparency and reliability. I communicate openly about goals, challenges, and progress to ensure we are aligned in supporting the child's development. This includes sharing insights and receiving feedback, so we can work together toward meaningful outcomes.

For relationships with parents, I recognize the importance of collaboration and trust. I am open and communicative, keeping them informed of their child's progress and any challenges, while also being receptive to their input and concerns. This partnership allows us to work as a team, ensuring the child's needs are met both at home and during sessions.

In all my interactions, I am committed to fostering positive relationships that promote collaboration, growth, and well-being for the children and families I support.
