My approach to Tutoring is one on one, each student is unique, with different learning abilities, and prefer different learning styles. There is no one size fits all lesson. I remember one student who said I can't do Accounting after failing an internal exam, and it was clear his confidence in the subject was at rock bottom. My lessons are very interactive and I think it is extremely important to keep checking that the student understands so I will always check learning as we progress with tasks to complete. However, in order for students to progress in Accounting it is crucial they follow my instructions and guidance and that will include reviewing the lesson material during the week in between lessons, this is crucial so that they retain the information taught.

My first degree in International History and Politics included Economics as a subsidiary. My professional accountancy qualifications are postgraduate level qualifications in accountancy. An additional bonus is that I hold a second degree level qualification in teaching English, which is an Ofqual regulated teaching qualification. My accountancy, business and economics students will receive coaching about how to ensure their answers are well-written and logical. This can lead to higher scores.
