I have been the Head of Accounting since 2006, at a large Catholic Sixth Form College in Hulme, Manchester. I am 46 years old, living in Didsbury, South Manchester. I gained my degree in Economics and Finance in 1998 from Leicester University. I began teaching in 2002 so have many years of experience teaching Accounting.

My lessons are very interactive and I think it is extremely important to keep checking that the student understands so I will always check learning as we progress with tasks to complete. However, in order for students to progress in Accounting it is crucial they follow my instructions and guidance and that will include reviewing the lesson material during the week in between lessons, this is crucial so that they retain the information taught.

I have experience within the accounting industry and keep my knowledge relevant by working 1 morning per week in an accounting role, covering profit margins, payroll and invoicing.

Teaching Experience:
I have 8 years experience as a tutor and have covered all levels of AAT from level 1 to level 4. I am dedicated to the students and provide a wide range of activities to allow each student to understand, based on their personal learning style. I stay relevant with the awarding body by keeping up annual CPD and attending the regional events for both adult learners and apprentices.
