Cancellation Policy:
There are times when advance notification is not possible and I am willing to adapt myself as much as possible to students who face circumstances beyond their control.
However, I require a minimum cancellation period prior to a lesson.
- If I am not notified (by phone or by email) of a cancellation 48 hours prior to the session, I will fully charge the amount of the session.
- In case my student(s) and I can find another convenient time slot within the week, the lesson will be postponed and will not be charged.

Teaching Experience:
This is my tenth year as a French as a Second/Foreign Language (FLE) full-time Tutor. I feel equally comfortable with beginners, intermediate or advanced students. My Name is Rachel and I have finished my final year at the University of Glasgow, where I studied a Bachelor of Music with Honours. I am a very positive, hardworking person. I am a singer and also have many years of experience working with the Kodaly method of music education. I have achieved ABRSM Grade 5 Theory, The National Youth Choir of Scotland's Go For Gold Certificate (which is accredited to Grade 5 Theory) and have also achieved Grade 8 in Voice and Grade 7 in Oboe through the ABRSM. I am a first study singer, and have several years teaching and assisting in teaching theory.

I have worked with the National Youth Choir of Scotland for 2 years and have been doing music workshops in schools with Primary 3 and 4. My previous career in industry has given me experience in digital hardware, software systems maintenance, and systems management, to complement my experience in teaching.

Teaching Experience:
I qualified as a teacher fourteen years ago and have taught in Emmanuel College Gateshead and Barnard Castle School, where I was head of Physics until 2017.
