Personal Description:
I am a friendly and easy going person who believes that everyone has the ability to learn. I am passionate about the outdoors and through teaching in schools I have often used the outdoors as a learning environment.

I have a degree in music and my PGCE primary is a mathematics specialism, although I am happy to home tutor in all areas of the primary curriculum.

Teaching Experience:
I am a qualified primary school teacher with 15 years experience working in two contrasting primary schools and a secondary school. I have taught all subject areas in Key stage 1 & 2 and through my secondary experience I have worked with lower ability students to boost their levels and supporting them to reach their full potential in English and Maths. I have also worked alongside students from year 9 to 11 to support them gaining a grade 4 (formally a C grade) in GCSE Foundation maths.

I have a current DBS and am a member of the General Teaching Council.

Tutoring Approach:
My primary approach to teaching is that if children are enjoying what they are learning then the information is more likely to be retained. I believe that it is important for a child to be involved in their own learning, encouraging the children to identify the areas that they are weaker in also enables the children to learn. I aim to both challenge the students and encourage them to achieve their goals.

Tutoring Approach:
My tutoring approach is based on mutual interactive approach, I just like to make it sure that student has gained required level of confidence agreed for the tutoring session. I have quite proactive approach to analyse student requirements and accordingly arrange all the necessarily helping material, notes, examples and physical models if required to elaborate the difficult aspects of the problem in hand. I am an experienced secondary science teacher and physics specialist with a number of years experience as a private tutor. I have a Physics degree from Imperial College London, a Masters degree in Science communication from UWE Bristol and qualified as a teacher with the University of Bedfordshire. I am a STEM ambassador and worked for several years in outreach education preparing and delivering science summer school programmes to school age students.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught at several outstanding secondary schools in Milton Keynes and am up to date with the current curriculum and assessment requirements. I have also worked for the Bedfordshire medical needs office teaching children who are out of school for medical reasons and have worked as a private tutor for the past decade helping students on an 1:1 basis to improve their exam grades and get into their chosen sixth form or college.

Tutoring Approach:
My tuition is aimed at improving the student's understanding of underlying concepts, identifying misconceptions or areas of confusion and correcting them, with the effect of improving exam technique and grades. My background is in languages and performing arts. I began studying
English at age 8, French at 13, German at 15, and have been
self-taught in Spanish since age 10. I come from a family with a
long tradition in teaching and have always been encouraged to study
and learn, while at the same time inheriting and developing a strong
capacity to explain, train, and encourage.

Teaching Experience:
Since graduating from my Master's course in 2011 I have been working
as a self-employed language tutor in and around London and have
always received more than positive feedback from my clients. My
tutees' ages range from four to seventy-four and I constantly
endeavour to improve myself and adapt my teaching method to my
clients' needs.

Tutoring Approach:
Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Personally, I believe that conversation is the key to becoming fluent in a language, but at the same time I do not neglect the importance of writing and reading comprehension. I therefore aim to split my lessons as evenly as possible between speaking, reading, listening comprehension, and writing assignments.

I really consider that teaching a language does not just mean teaching a grammar or phonetics. It also means teaching Spanish culture. For this reason, you will learn more about traditions, foods, etc from different Spanish speaking countries.

My lessons are different depend on my students, their levels, their ages and needs. I create my own materials and I use pictures, books or websites from other tutoring.
