Personal Description:
I have been tutoring since 2010 and worked as a tutor in schools and for local education authorities. I offer tuition in Maths, Physics and English(ESL) up to and including A-Level. After graduating in Physics from Imperial College i worked as a theatrical actor before obtaining a Masters in Applied Theatre: Drama in the Community and Drama Education. Additionally I have facilitated drama workshops both in England and abroad going as far afield as India. I believe that this broad experience has helped my approach to tuition and my understanding of the needs of students with a variety of backgrounds and needs.

January 2010-Present: Private Tuition, London - One on one tuition with Secondary and Sixth form students in Maths and Physics at GCSE, IGCSE, IB, AS and A-level covering the AQA, Edexcel, OCR and IB syllabuses and English as a second language and at IB level.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a friendly and relaxed approach and try to give my students the confidence to think and tackle their task by themselves. When needed I try to explain the concepts behind the subject that they are looking at. With syllabus based work I give students as much opportunity to practice exam papers to get as familiar with them as possible.

I am a native Russian speaker and a qualified Teacher with an MA from St Petersburg State University. I come from St Petersburg in Russia and have lived in the UK for 20 years. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the National Register of Public Service Interpreters. I conduct oral GCSE and A level Russian exams in schools. And my students normally get a full set of top marks each year. I can also prepare students for Russian as a Foreign Language tests.

I have 24 years experience as a teacher, teaching privately and at schools. My students get top marks Russian GCSE and A level exams as a rule. I worked in Russian School Znaniye in Oxford with 3-4 year olds. I can teach all levels. I can help with preparation for Russian as a Foreign Language tests for people willing to work in Russia or have a qualification recognised by Russia. I taught Russian at the University of Birmingham in 2020-2021 and 2022-2023.

I develop all aspects of language learning: reading, writing, listening, grammar, phonetics etc. I use both English and Russian materials and can source materials. I have materials for Russian as a Foreign Language tests and I work with British and Russian companies who supply text books for learning Russian.

Personal Description:
I am 20 years old, I'm a native speaker of french. I moved over to France at the slender age of 12 and I lived there for 7 years, I have taken my french equivalent GCSE's and A-level's in France. I am currently working as a teaching assistant in a high school for Key Stage 3/4 and I provide extra french curriculum activities for the student's depending on their abilities and their age. I'm also currently at Open University getting my French degree.

Teaching Experience:
I am currently working at a High School in Dewsbury as a Teaching Assistant with Key Stage 3 and Key stage 4 student's. Once a week I have French activities put in place after school for those who want help with their french homework or have course work or would like to improve on their French.

I know myself how hard it is to learn another language, so depending on their age and abilities, I will provide a different range of fun activities/lessons that will help them to progress in French. A semi-retired Environmental Scientist, Zoologist and Freshwater Biologist, I am also fluent in Spanish and German, having spent many years living in Latin American countries, working for German and British multinational companies.

I am a passionate and hard working primary school teacher. I have been tutoring children of a range of ages and abilities for seven years. I am a language lover who has travelled and taught in many different countries. I live in London but I travel a lot too. Exercise and healthy eating, tv and books, theatre and movies, good food and animals.

Teaching Experience:
Starting in 2005, I have over 13 years experience teaching English. I have taught every nationality and language speaker. I have taught all ages and all levels, students to professionals. I have been a personal Cambridge exam teacher for university students, and I have taught business English to traders in the stock exchange.
I have also been a teacher trainer for many years and have spoken at international teacher conferences many times.

I have studied methodology and materials for years, the result is that I teach using techniques and methods which come from studying how the brain works. I have a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and I've taught students all the way from university to primary school in a number of subject areas. I also have an MPhil in Philosophy from Cambridge and a BA (Philosophy) /BSc (Biology) from the University of Auckland.

I'm a 19-year-old tutor in Sheffield/London, who has been tutoring GCSE for over a year now during my gap year! I genuinely believe there is no better way to teach than to be relatable and reassuring. Being a student myself, I try my best to build a relationship with the student and help identify and conquer any issues lying within their subjects.

I'm truly passionate about tutoring being an older brother to two younger sisters who I've had to teach my whole life and I feel a great sense of purpose after every tutoring lesson!

I've received above GRADE 8 in all GCSE subjects in 2019 and received an A* in chemistry at A-Levels and A in Maths A-Levels.

I've tutored four students during my gap year for 4 students consistently from November to May, helping my students build comfort and confidence in their subject choices. I've tutored both boys and girls aged 14-16 and they have achieved all grades 7+ in the subject I have tutored.

I especially like to help students who find themselves struggling with the subject on a more psychological level with their self-confidence and past experience. I have a passion for these subjects and wish to help others learn more about it.

Tutoring Approach:
I tend to start my tutoring with warm-up questions relating to the previous session as a mini tester for memory. To keep track of content during the session I tend to switch between teaching and worksheets, making sure the student doesn't feel like they're at boring old school again haha. Towards the end, I'll do a brief summary and tester questions on what we've learnt to do.

It also depends on where we are at during the school term where typically towards the end I will focus on past papers more and constantly redirect the students to more resources to help them.

Hello potential students!

My name is David. I was an actor for 20 years, both as a hobbyist and a professional until becoming a writer. I still am both of those things (as well as a voice-over artist), but now would like to pass on my knowledge to other people and see if it helps them.

Until very recently, I worked in customer service for a myriad of companies--all to allow me the space and time to enjoy a career that was never fully stable. I enjoyed them, but only for the opportunity to meet new people and learn from them. True, I may be a tutor, but I will never stop being a student.

I also class as neurodivergent. For decades I lived with undiagnosed ADHD. Learning this was a surprise to many others around me, but not to me directly. The signs were not as well known back then, and somehow I had adapted to learn. These days, we adapt the teaching; so know that whatever background you have, we will find a way to learn together!

Teaching Experience:
Over one year as a private Tutor. Most of my students have been GCSE level (all exam boards) and a few have been adult learners wanting to know more, or Primary School pupils working to better their grammar. I hold a Master's Degree in Creative Writing and a Bachelor's in Drama--both of which give me a unique but well rounded approach to English Literature and Language, as well as essay writing.

Tutoring Approach:
Easy; good conversation, plenty of debates and a whole heap of laughs! For most texts involved in the English Language and Literature courses, it's hard to really analyse what lies beneath the words on the page; especially in a school-style setting. I like to find out what how the student works, and what works for the student. Then, I tailor our sessions around them, their pace, and see if there's more excitement underneath those words!

Hi I'm Elise! A second year environmental science student at Lancaster University. I have a wide range of science knowledge and am excited to begin sharing and supporting GCSE aged pupils grow in their knowledge and interest of the sciences as well! Outside of tutoring, I spend lots of my time playing the flute, reading, and hiking! I'm looking forward to beginning this tutoring journey in a fun, creative and beneficial way .

Teaching Experience:
I have experience tutoring one to one close friends and family but I believe I am suited to further tutoring since I already have quite a lot of experience in supporting and facilitating young people in scouting since I am an experienced scout leader in the Winchester district. I also would say I have a recent and relevant understanding of the GCSE syllabus and examinations, especially in the sciences since I am currently taking a Bsc Environmental Science degree and my passion for science has only grown since I took my GCSE's.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring will be adapted specially to each student, depending on how they prefer to be taught but also recognizing weaknesses in the syllabus and working on those until overall confidence is build. I hope to teach in a creative, interactive way that will not only build confidence in the syllabus but also in exam technique and exam nerves too, especially for GSCE students.
