I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education.
At the same time I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting.I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them.

Personal Description:
I am a Chinese Student from University of Leicester. My major is Financial and Economic, but I have been learned Guzheng -Traditional Chinese Instrument 10 years and obtain the certification of 10 levels. Guzheng is a plucked, half-tube zither with movable bridges and 21 strings, and has a large resonant cavity made from wutong wood. The performer is able to differentiate between stronger melodic lines and softer accompaniment patterns by using finger plectra on the fingers of her right hand. This can also be used to give effective dynamic contrasts.

I am an A level English teacher with ten years' experience in sixth form colleges, and I currently work at Peter Symonds College in Winchester. I had some maternity cover on my timetable this year, and that's just ended, so I've got some time for tutoring.

My degree was in English Literature but since teaching English Language A-level in my first job, I've become very interested in linguistics, and recently worked at the Survey of English Usage at University College London (for some reason this site won't let me post a URL but you can hear me asking Professor Bas Aarts grammar questions on the EngliciousUCL soundcloud).

I have written articles on The Handmaid's Tale and the work of Cormac McCarthy for emagazine (the English & Media Centre's A-level publication), and my article on the role of the visual imagination in reading is in December's edition. I am an experienced tutor and understand how to make maths fun! I have been teaching for over three years across several primary schools in Ashbourne teaching years 3 to 6. I talk to the student and find out which areas they find difficult. In the lesson we go through these areas and tackle them one at a time. I can provide summer tutoring if required. I've also set up a primary maths resources business, I'm that excited about maths!

I am a qualified teacher having taught across several schools across Ashbourne. I struggled with maths in primary school so I had several years of maths tutoring in order to ensure that I passed GCSE maths. My tutor showed me that maths was not impossible and I decided to take it again at A level along with Further Maths AS. After a further two years of lessons (deforesting half of the planet printing off hundreds of past papers) I obtained an A* in A level maths. I used to find maths difficult.
