Personal Description:
Hi I'm Niall, a chartered accountant with an Economics degree from The University of Reading. I was twice awarded silver at the UK Maths Challenge and achieved grade A at both A-level and GCSE.

Personal Description:
I am 48 years old and have lived in the Fylde area since 2002. I have two daughters and one son who are my absolute life. In my spare time I spend quality time with them and live life to the full!!

In 2005 I started out as a teaching assistant and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to further my career and become a primary school teacher. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS in July 2011. I achieved a good/outstanding grade on my final block placement.

I have decided to become a home tutor because I am more available in the evenings and it works well around my busy lifestyle. I have had 20 years of experience in education and can offer a high standard of teaching to all pupils, ensuring I meet their educational needs.

If your child would like tuition in preparation for SATs whether they are in Year 2 or Year 6, I will assess them using a SATs paper to identify areas they need to work on and create some lesson plans accordingly.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked in a variety of roles within schools across all key stages. These roles include 1:1 support assistant, reception key worker, teaching assistant, PE Instructor, PPA cover teacher, supply teacher and nursery practitioner.

During these times I have worked with a range of pupils with special educational needs and I am very proud to know that each and every child has progressed and developed through my creativity and strategic approach. I enjoy planning and ensuring lessons and activities are delivered effectively to meet the child's needs.

I have taught groups of children, half classes and whole classes, teaching in all primary subjects and many topics such as World War 2, Castles, Ancient Greece and Titanic.

During my final block placement in a year 5/6 mixed class, I supported children in preparation for SAT's and provided various activities to consolidate their understanding in the chosen subject they wanted support for. I also entered my class into a local poetry competition which over 100 schools entered. There were twelve winners chosen to have their poems published in a regional magazine. Out of the twelve winning poems, eight children from my class were awarded places in the magazine including first and second place. A very proud moment which is just one of my achievements that have made me more passionate about teaching children and ensuring they reach their full potential.

Tutoring Approach:

I have a very calm and creative approach to tutoring and enjoy going that extra mile to ensure education is enjoyable for all children.

Personal Description:
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from Kings College London University. I am also a Postgraduate student studying for a Masters in Data Science.
My personal and interactive approach to tutoring is what has led to multiple success stories and has enhanced my desire to continue helping, developing and lending quality time to many more incredible students.

Tutoring Approach:

I will be giving one to one tuition to students who study A level Maths/Further Maths. Improving their understanding of the topics and supporting them in the areas which they find most difficult. I am determined to improve their problem solving abilities by providing them with challenging questions as well as answering any questions the student may have. I will be taking notes of the questions that my students struggle to understand or answer correctly, and from those questions i will form sets of questions that will aid the student in those areas and strengthen their weaknesses. I will be providing quality support during and after lessons. All students are unique so i will tailor my lessons according to the ability and needs of the student, with the overall goal of achieving the A* in the final exams.

Personal Description:
I am a Spanish native speaker from Mexico. I have 9 years of experience teaching English and Spanish in Mexico and the UK. I am a qualified Spanish Teacher currently working in the Greater Manchester area.

Teaching Experience:

My most significant educational experience comes from teaching in an English School in Mexico, which was a rewarding experience. I was always extremely supportive with my students during the lessons and I consistently showed excellent communication and understanding skills. I helped pupils to improve their language skills through the implementation of varied activities and materials considering their individual needs. During this period of time, I worked with various groups of learners from ages 4-5 up to adults and occasionally worked with low-ability learners and some mild learning difficulties, which helped me to develop excellent classroom management and classroom organisation.

Further to this experience, I also periodically work as a private language tutor where I design and deliver bespoke courses or individual material to young or adult learners.

While studying at university I joined a nursery and primary level school where I worked with children from ages 5-11 teaching them English according to the national curriculum.

In 2018, I started volunteering at All Hallows R.C. High School supporting one of the Spanish teachers during their lessons. During this time I have had the opportunity to work with pupils from Year 7 up to Year 11, and learnt about the UK national curriculum.
A key part of my role is supporting the teacher with the management of pupil behaviour, helping them to reduce wasted time and enabling them to concentrate on delivering their class. Another part of my role is to ensure students work during class and understand the tasks assigned by the teacher. I normally sit next to pupils who struggle with Spanish so they do not feel left behind by the others. I patiently help them to complete their activities, motivate them and encourage them to study harder. Furthermore, I was assigned to support Year 11 students to help them reinforce their speaking, vocabulary and grammar skills in order to succeed in their GCSE Spanish exams.

I currently work as a Spanish teacher in a Secondary school in the Greater Manchester area.

Tutoring Approach:

My capacity to help pupils to face challenges and make them believe they can be successful no matter how difficult the situation is, as well as the ability to create positive and welcoming environments in a classroom and my constant need to share knowledge are the skills that have guided me into education. Seeing students thirsty to learn and looking at their faces when they understand new/complex topics is an amazing feeling. I am also motivated by the knowledge that I can be a good influence, a role model, and a source of inspiration for others at such a fundamental age which drives me to be at my best every day.

I am a person who has an active and dynamic approach to work and getting things done, skills which have served me well to ensure variety while working with students from different ages in order to design creative and innovative lessons. I am a supportive and an effective listener who adapts to all situations, which enables me to create positive and comfortable learning atmospheres. As my teaching abilities have developed, I have demonstrated that I have the capacity to identify students' needs easily. This helps me to find different teaching strategies in order to provide students better ways of learning and thinking which would suit their specific needs.
