I have been particularly successful helping students to improve their GCSE grade, helping students improve on their mock result. I am fully upto date with the latest syllabus requirements.

Tutoring Approach:
I concentrate on working with the student's perceived weaknesses and on common exam mistakes. In the case of GCSE and A levels it is often the student who leads and asks for help with specific issues. Additionally, I always revise the main elements of the syllabus and give the student plenty of practice with examples of written work.

I have a passion for creative writing and literature, and have taught ESL, Business, and General English along with English for Academic Purposes, IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation. It is important to get to know and understand my students' needs, strengths and weaknesses; why they need extra tuition and what their timeline or deadline or objective is, if any; I will then tailor the lessons to suit. I actively encourage my students to immerse themselves in language in all its' forms. Learning doesn't stop when the lesson stops. I set homework relative to each students' needs and set learning objectives accordingly. By working together, we can ensure that learning aims become positive and successful achievements!

My classes and lessons are interactive and I try to use realia and real life situations to model language and grammar. I use contemporary and classic fiction and a range of non-fiction texts. I also use lots of visual activities and promote literacy and good computer and handwriting skills too. I graduated from the prestigious law school of King's College London with a 2:1 Bachelor of Laws LLB (Hons). The postgraduate Legal Practice Course followed at the College of Law, Chester where I achieved a Commendation. I successfully completed a training contract with a London firm, including accreditation with the University of Cardiff as a Police Station Representative. I have enjoyed a varied career in law and criminal justice, and have over five years of experience in tutoring.
