Personal Description:
Hello! I'm Kiren, a passionate and dedicated math tutor with a deep love for numbers and a strong commitment to helping students succeed. With a background in mathematics, gained through my Bachelors in engineering, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every tutoring session.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages and skill levels, from primary school through to college. My approach to teaching maths is centered on making the subject accessible and enjoyable. I believe that everyone has the potential to excel in math with the right guidance and support.
Teaching Experience:
I have had the pleasure of tutoring students across a wide range of educational levels, from primary school through to A-level. My journey as a maths tutor began with helping primary school students build a strong foundation in basic arithmetic and problem-solving skills. I quickly discovered a passion for teaching and a knack for explaining complex concepts in a way that young learners could easily grasp. Seeing my students' confidence grow as they mastered new skills was incredibly rewarding and fueled my desire to reach even more students.
In addition to working with younger students, I have also tutored A level school students, guiding them through the intricacies of Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry. My approach is always tailored to the individual needs of each student, whether they are preparing for critical exams or simply looking to improve their understanding of the material. My experience with A-level students has been particularly enriching, as I have been able to help them tackle advanced topics and prepare for university-level coursework.
Beyond traditional tutoring, I spent a year teaching apprentices, which was a unique and fulfilling experience. Working with apprentices allowed me to connect mathematical theory with practical, real-world applications, demonstrating how essential maths skills are in various trades and professions. This experience honed my ability to make math relevant and engaging, showing students the value of what they are learning beyond the classroom.
During my time at university, I also provided peer support to fellow students. This involved helping my classmates with challenging coursework, facilitating study groups, and offering one-on-one assistance. These informal teaching opportunities helped me develop a deeper understanding of the material and refined my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. It was during this period that I realised how much I enjoyed teaching and mentoring others, solidifying my commitment to becoming a dedicated math tutor.
Throughout my diverse teaching experiences, I have cultivated a versatile teaching style that adapts to the needs of each student. Whether working with young children, high school students, apprentices, or university peers, my goal remains the same: to inspire a love for maths and to empower my students to achieve their full potential
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching is centered around the belief that every student has the potential to excel in maths when given the right tools and support. I strive to create a learning environment that is both encouraging and engaging, where students feel comfortable exploring new concepts and expressing their difficulties. Patience and understanding are at the core of my teaching philosophy, as I recognise that each student learns at their own pace and in their own unique way.
One of the key elements of my approach is personalisation. I tailor my lessons to meet the specific needs and goals of each student, taking into account their strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. By customising my teaching methods, I can provide targeted support that helps students overcome their challenges and build confidence in their abilities. Whether a student needs help with basic arithmetic, advanced algebra, or anything in between, I am committed to providing the guidance and resources they need to succeed.
Interactive and practical learning is another cornerstone of my teaching style. I incorporate a variety of teaching aids and techniques to make math more relatable and interesting. This includes using real-world examples, visual aids, and hands-on activities to demonstrate how mathematical concepts apply to everyday life and various professions. By making math relevant and tangible, I aim to spark curiosity and enthusiasm in my students, helping them see the value and importance of what they are learning.
I also believe in the power of positive reinforcement and encouragement. Building a student's confidence is crucial to their success, and I make it a point to celebrate their progress, no matter how small. By fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere, I help students develop a growth mindset, where they view challenges as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles. This mindset not only improves their performance in math but also equips them with the resilience and problem-solving skills that will benefit them in all areas of life.
Ultimately, my goal as a math tutor is not only to improve my students' grades but also to instill a lasting appreciation for the subject. I want my students to leave our sessions with a deeper understanding of maths and a newfound confidence in their abilities. Through a combination of personalised instruction, interactive learning, and positive reinforcement, I am dedicated to helping each student achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong love for learning.

Personal Description:
I love teaching! This is my passion and my job. It gives me great satisfaction and fulfills my professional ambitions. I am optimistic and open-minded what makes my students more eager to enrich knowledge and expand communication. I am demanding but rewarding as my goal is to provide effective training. What is more, my international experience has developed my methodology creativity. Last but not least, organisational skills are definitely my second nature.
Teaching Experience:
I have been gaining valuable international work experience as English Teacher since 2000. I have been in intensive cooperation with leading English, Australian and Polish schools of English teaching children, teenage and adult students. I have found fulfilment in providing General and Business English courses to groups and individuals on all English levels ranging from A1 to C2. I have also conducted FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and EAP courses and specialised English Training Workshops successfully. My TEFL experience is with students of different cultural background. I facilitate their different pronunciational, lexical or grammatical difficulties what proves my expertise and adaptability to students. Moreover, I was responsible for developing General English and TOEFL/IELTS curriculum and its further coordination. On a regular basis I work online and provide Grammar, Vocabulary, and Speaking classes to students. Moreover, I enjoy working as a translator of economic, financial, legal and technical texts, and as interpreter at business meeting and negotiations.
Tutoring Approach:
How do I conduct classes? I always set the goal of providing effective training. However, I alsways create a detailed lesson plan, based on recommended course books or my own materials and following both language and personal goals. Most of the time they refer to my individual approach to students and make lessons tailored to their specific needs. I believe that effective teaching must be a combination of work and fun. My priority is to make classes varied, engaging, and memorable. Varied as they cover all skills and types of activities. Engaging as I want my classes to be student-centered with the main focus on communication. And memorable as there use fun games and language equipment. I believe that not only planning, but also monitoring and reporting play a great role. To get the full picture of the learning process, I provide students with sufficient feedback and reports.

Personal Description:
I am a 34 year old Post doctoral researcher in the field of endocrinology.
My undergraduate degree (2010) was in Biology from Imperial College, London, where I continued to study to Masters level (2011) in Reproductive and Developmental Biology. between 2013-2016 I completed my PhD in reproductive endocrinology. therefore my knowledge of biology spans multiple subject areas.
I have A-levels in Biology, Physics, Maths and History and a keen interest in all of these subjects.
Having completed my PhD and fulfilled 3 post-doctoral research positions, I feel I have gained experience in the skills required at all levels of education to progress and succeed and would really like to help others to realise their academic talents and to succeed in their education.
Teaching Experience:
I am currently training for my postgraduate certificate of academic practice, for lecturing and small group teaching at undergraduate level.
I have been tutoring privately for the past 6 years and have successfully guided GCSE and A-Level students to achieve their goals, gaining further jobs through recommendation.
Throughout my career, I have been responsible for overseeing and training undergraduate students in the laboratory and ensuring they have a key understanding of protocols, the biology behind them and how to use this knowledge to work out problems for themselves. This also involves mathematics skills, such as fractions, dilutions and molar concentrations, as well as helping them with any biology questions they may have outside of the lab. I provide feedback on presentation skills and on key learning skills required at degree level.
I have also had experience teaching students at A-level stage, in a two part workshop surrounding the biology of genetics. A key component of this is helping them to understand a totally new subject and to answer any questions they have surrounding university applications, study skills and personal statements.
I like to think this broad range of experience has taught me to interact with students of various ages and to recognise learning approaches that work best for different individuals.
Tutoring Approach:
The most important thing to consider is a student's personal requirements and to find a learning style that works for them. People learn in different ways so to teach in a style that maintains interest and works for the individual student is really important to me.
a goal based approach is important in my eyes. to understand what need to be learnt, by when and to work through a strategic plan to achieve the best results for the student.

Personal Description:
I am 36 yrs old, happily married to my lovely wife Ren, and was born and raised in the United Kingdom.
I have a BEng (Hons) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oxford Brookes University and have A-levels in Mathematics, Physics and Physical Education. My degree had numerous modules in advanced mathematics and physics, which I excelled at and deeply enjoyed. I informally tutored several of my friends and peers during university in Mathematics.
Following my graduation I secured a junior project engineering position at a company in the Oil and Gas Industry in 2007. I progressed into a project management role within 3 years of starting my career and I have subsequently been a Project Manager and Project management consultant for large engineering and construction companies in the Oil, Gas and Energy industries, including Schlumberger and Koch Industries. I have been a Project Manager in the industry for over 10 years and have managed numerous multi million pound projects for many large clients including Shell, Exxon Mobil, Centrica and Saudi Aramco. I am a Member of the Association of Project Management.
However, over the last few years I have become increasingly aware and concerned about the impact of my industry on climate change and I have become very interested in contributing to society in a more constructive manner. I have grown more interested in tutoring, in large part due to the positive impact i have seen my father have on his students - he has been a tutor in A-level Mathematics and Physics for the last 10 years, following his retirement from his engineering profession. And I feel I can have a similar positive impact on young people with my educational, professional and personal experience.
Teaching Experience:
I have 3 months of tutoring experience. However, my career as a Project Manager has required me to lead, mentor and train young project engineers and project managers on the principles of project management, work practices and their duties. This required me to impart, share and educate my younger, less experienced colleagues to better prepare them for their roles. So I am confident these skills and experience will serve me well with students and hold me in good stead to be a successful tutor.
Tutoring Approach:
The approach I take with tutoring will be the same as I do personally and professionally. In my personal life, with my wife, family and close friends, I stay true to my values of being caring, honest, respectful, kind, patient and genuinely interested in anything I can advise on or do that keeps our relationships harmonious and happy.
In my professional and working life, I always conduct myself with integrity, fairness and when necessary with respectful firmness to ethically guide and collaborate with my colleagues to achieve the best possible results for my projects. I take a purposeful, disciplined, hardworking approach in all my professional endeavours, but when appropriate will be light hearted and sincerely seek to cultivate good relationships with everyone I work closely with.
I intend to bring the above core values, principles and ways of working to my tutoring duties with the earnest hope of improving the knowledge and experience of my prospective students.

Personal Description:
HI! I'm Ollie, a 2nd year undergraduate at Oxford University (Christ Church college) studying Philosophy and French.
I come from a native French background (with a French mother). Therefore, I have been lucky to spend my summer holidays at my grandparent's house in France granting me full conversational fluency.
The subsequent academic study of French has allowed me to gain that rigorous understanding of the French language - and, in the last few years, a fair amount of literature - which gives me the requisite knowledge to help children reach their potential in this subject.
Teaching Experience:
In my secondary school from the ages of 15 to 18 I acted as a student mentor, a role which has both pastoral and academic capacities. In the academic part of my role, I helped other pupils with French from the ages of 11 to 16 who had been selected as they were struggling in their classes. As such, I feel that I am able to help children at any level of ability not solely restricted to the higher level.
Outside the school environment, since the age of 16, I have tutored other children in my local area, especially when leading up to exam seasons. Managing both the anxieties and responsibilites of these periods with students taught me a lot about effecitve communication styles and empathy.
Tutoring Approach:
The primary element in my approach to tutoring is involving the student in active learning. In line with this principle, I get students to engage in interactive exercises and spoken work as a primary focus. It is my belief that if they feel that they are being lectured, as often they do in bigger classes and with certain teachers, much less progress will be made and the sessions will be much less enjoyable.
Further, key to my approach is the recognition of each child's individuality and the way that this affects the ideal teaching style. Whether that difference be ability, communication skills, or time that can be spent outside of sessions working on some content, it shall be considered as part of my teaching.

Personal Description:
Hello! I am a highly experienced, enthusiastic and approachable full-time tutor with a First-Class Geography degree from the University of Birmingham. During my degree, I studied a multitude of theories, concepts and issues from a broad range of Geographical disciplines. I enjoy posing questions and challenging key geographical ideas, and keen to gather the information needed to make informed predictions and enforce sustainable management which is crucial in our rapidly changing world. I hope you will agree that my passion transfers through to my teaching as I aim to provide engaging and interactive sessions from which you can enjoy seeing yourself progress over the course and then succeed in your exams!
Teaching Experience:
I have been tutoring Geography for the past 6 years and acquired almost 3000 hours of online tutoring experience with over 325 5-star reviews (these can be provided on request). I have worked with a wide range of students of differing abilities and with various educational needs (eg. dyslexia, ADHD, autism, asperges, OCD etc.). All of my students have gone on to achieve or exceed their targets, some of which have improved by 4 grades! The most rewarding part about tutoring stems from building a great level of trust and rapport with the students as it provides the crucial foundation needed to build confidence which, ultimately, translates into academic progress and achievement!
In particular, I specialise in GCSE and A Level tuition and have extensive knowledge of the up-to-date versions of numerous exam boards (eg. Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Eduqas, CIE), including their specification content and marking criteria. During my degree, I undertook a 'Geography in the Classroom' module which further developed my teaching methods and strategies and provided me with the skills needed to easily adapt my lessons to the student's individual needs and preferences. In addition, this module focused on bridging the gap between A Level and University Level Geography so if you are seeking to further your Geographical studies, I can integrate support for this into our lessons for a less challenging transition.
Tutoring Approach:
Tutorials will be planned in advance in order to tailor lessons to your individual needs and optimise your learning experience. We will work through the exam syllabus and establish weaker topics that require more focus in order to give you a full understanding of the content needed to answer exam questions. I provide diagrams, images and clear step-by-step explanations to aid learning in a visual and engaging manner. I also find that students really benefit when I integrate discussion points and give them opportunities to try teaching something back to me, as it ensures the student has a comprehensive understanding while developing confidence. It is vital that students understand the content needed to answer the question but must also become familiar with the key ideas examiners are looking for. It is often how a student answers the question that enables them to get top marks however, this is typically the most challenging part. Consequently, exam techniques will also feature throughout tutorials as we progress through the course. I prepare questions and provide personalised feedback and guidance to help students excel in exam situations. Furthermore, we will work through case studies to broaden your knowledge and deepen your Geographical understanding by applying theories and models to real-life local and global examples. These can be embedded in your answers to provide the breadth and depth needed to obtain the highest marks.
I also offer help with structure and technique for academic writing and research projects for students undertaking an NEA or Geography-based Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). Furthermore, I provide advice for writing a successful Personal Statement and can proofread your written piece to help you receive your first-choice offer.

With over 20 years in science education, I have taught and led in diverse academic environments-ranging from Russell Group universities to top-performing schools and specialist SEN provisions. My background combines subject expertise, leadership experience, and a strong understanding of both mainstream and individualised educational pathways.
Higher Education & Curriculum Development
Working in research and teaching at several UK universities, I served as Head of Science and Academic Partnerships, where I led curriculum design, academic strategy, and cross-institutional collaborations. I taught Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, and Molecular Biology, and supervised undergraduate research and dissertations.
Secondary and Sixth Form Science Teaching
I have taught all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) at GCSE and A-level, working across UK exam boards including AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and CIE. I specialise in helping students prepare for competitive undergraduate courses and sixth forms.
Specialist SEN Education
My experience includes nearly a decade teaching in National Autistic Society schools, where I led science teaching for students with complex needs, including autism, PDA, and ADHD. This role required highly adaptable, low-demand, relationship-based strategies, which continue to inform my one-to-one tutoring with neurodiverse students.
Academic Mentoring & Admissions Support
In addition to subject tuition, I support students with personal statement development, revision planning, and project/report improvement. My mentoring helps students approach learning with clarity, confidence, and a clear roadmap toward success.
Professional online science tutor
I deliver highly tailored lessons designed to build subject mastery, critical thinking, and academic confidence. My approach enables students to catch up with school content, re-engage in classroom learning, and strengthen their independent study habits. I support students in developing effective exam technique and revision strategies, while guiding them through complex scientific concepts at a pace that suits their individual needs. Lessons are structured, responsive, and enjoyable-designed to motivate and empower learners to reach their full potential.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is rooted in personalised, outcomes-driven learning that respects the individuality of every student. I build long-term, trusted relationships with students and families, offering structured weekly tuition, academic mentoring, and intensive support during holidays or before exams.
I begin by identifying each student's strengths, learning style, and goals-whether that's achieving top exam results, building subject confidence, or securing a place at a competitive university. Lessons are carefully paced and fully tailored, integrating concept mastery, exam technique, and independent thinking.
For students preparing for medicine, dentistry, or bioscience degrees, I provide expert guidance on course selection, entrance exams (UCAT, BMAT), and personal statement writing-offering a clear advantage in an increasingly competitive admissions landscape.
For neurodiverse learners, I use a low-anxiety, flexible, and strengths-based approach. I draw on years of experience in SEN education to ensure students feel safe, seen, and supported. My sessions are calm, responsive, and adapted in real time to accommodate processing differences, energy levels, and emotional needs.
Online lessons are delivered through high-quality platforms using interactive tools, virtual whiteboards, and shared resources. I maintain regular feedback with families to track progress, refine goals, and ensure a collaborative, transparent learning experience.
Whether your child requires strategic long-term mentoring or short-term academic intervention, I deliver results-focused tuition that builds capability, confidence, and genuine love for science.
