I was a volunteer teacher when I was an undergraduate student in China. It was in a countryside school of Hunan province. I went there with my schoolmates in a summer holiday. My tutoring sessions can can be either online (synchronously) via a whiteboard & voice chat, or offline (asynchronously) via email / shared Google documents etc. All students that are not tutored at home, will need access to a laptop or desktop computer, with an internet connection. A web camera is not required.
