Over the past 12 years, I have enabled hundreds of students to maximise their potential in GCSE, AS/A-Level and IB examinations.

I completed my PhD in 2015 (University of London), which was about the philosophy of folly in Shakespeare's plays. Having worked as a school teacher, university lecturer and held fellowships at Kingston University and the University of Athens, I currently teach Shakespeare at the CEU and run my education company. I have published two books, one based on my PhD and one on social psychology, as well as numerous articles on literature and philosophy.

Whereas English Literature, Language and Philosophy are my primary disciplines, I have also taught German and History up to A-Level standard in schools in Britain. I believe education is not simply a means to an end; rather, it offers exciting and new ways of thinking about ourselves and the world around us. In my spare time, I enjoy writing and skiing.

My teaching experience is fairly extensive and I have taught both in the UK and abroad. I have taught at schools (GCSE, IB and A-Levels) and universities in the UK, as well as leading Shakespeare workshops across Europe, when I worked for the British Council.

I believe the key to successful tuition is communication. I set clear goals for my students and ensure that they are always prepared and confident in their exams.

Depending on the students needs, I assist with academic writing and how best to fulfil the exam boards' specific Coursework Assessment Objectives or we focus on exam techniques to ensure the best possible outcome. I have a BA (Hons) degree in Acting which I received at Birmingham School of Acting. I have 11 years performing experience; this combined with the inspiring training I absorbed in drama school gives me extensive knowledge and insight into my specialised area. During my training I was awarded a Laurence Olivier Bursary by the Society of London Theatre for being one of the most promising actors in the UK. I was also nominated for the Carleton Hobbs Radio Award, recording at the BBC. I have attended workshops at the Royal Shakespeare Company and was extremely privileged to be selected to perform & attend workshops at Shakespeare's Globe at the Sam Wanamaker Festival in 2010.

I am a professional actor, director & writer as well as a tutor; so am able to understand the importance of each perspective and explain and explore the possibilities within these areas.

I'm an enthusiastic driven person. I take pride in my work and I'd like to do it well. In my spare time I like to be active and go sailing, diving or wake boarding.

I taught for 7 months in a Belgian secondary school. I taught 11-14 year old children Latin there. I've also taught Life Science and Art History to 14-16 year olds. My appointment was temporary and so I went on doing something else. From time to time I have been asked to do some tutoring. I hope this way I can help educate the new generation that is willing to learn.

I believe anyone can learn anything though depending on our skills some people just have to put in extra effort to get the same results. Professional and practising international artist with over twenty years experience in the art industry in the US and the UK.
I have an active studio practice producing sculptures, illustrations, props and miniatures for various clients and supplement my income on the side with teaching when possible as I do enjoy sharing what I love. My home and studio practice is in east London but I teach at the Victoria & Albert Museum as its important to me to keep my teaching and my studio separate. I don't teach in student's homes because I teach from life which requires the museum and their collections.

In the United States, I've taught as an art teacher in elementary schools, high schools and after school art clubs. I've also taught in art festivals and art heritage museums here in the UK.

In the last few years I've preferred to teach privately one to one rather than in a class as I prefer the results I achieve when working with a single student. I don't enjoy a classroom setting as I often spent more time doing crowd control than actually getting anything done.

I primarily teach young people preparing for art portfolio presentations and university entrance exams. I make a policy to teach from life using the traditional teaching methods and techniques of the great masters from the Italian Renaissance as this is how I was educated. I teach my students to understand and use perspective, relationships, contrasts and composition. I teach any level of art student following an initial portfolio review. This portfolio review helps me see previous drawings students have done which helps me understand how to construct our lessons in order to achieve success.

I teach in the Victoria & Albert museum as I teach from life. All my classes are a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 4 hours. I don't teach anyone younger than 16 years old.

I first began to take interest in education in late 2016 during my second year of studies at Falmouth University, after undertaking 'skills for music leaders' module, where I studied different approaches to formal and non-formal music education. In September 2017, I have taken my ambitions to teach guitar further and fully dedicated my third year of studies to learn about ethics in music education, and began work experience with Cornwall Music Service Trust. I have shadowed 3 guitar teachers as well as 1 violin teacher and learned how to work with children aged between 6-16. I have actively engaged during the lessons, and helped as much as it was possible. I observed their teaching style and studied how to apply it into my own practice, gaining very good references

I have completed 'skills for music leaders' during my second year studies and dedicated the rest of my time researching ethics and practical teaching strategies in music education. I have completed a year of work experience with Cornwall music service trust shadowing their teachers and learning their teaching styles. Hi, I'm Ollie and I have recently qualified as a Dentist from the University of Bristol (BDS) where I am a student ambassador.
I'm a hard working academic student who also has a past competing at a high level in sport which means I am able to offer time efficient, effective learning slots between schooling and extra-curricular activities.
I have 5 years of university examination experience meaning I have an understanding of pre-exam worries and I know this would enable me to support students in this position and offer guidance on an underappreciated aspect of exams.

Teaching Experience:
I tutored during my GCSEs for years 7-10 in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics. This taught me how to teach in a personal style, offering a safe space for group discussions on challenging topics whilst also identifying where individual students struggled. I then went on to offer private study sessions for these individuals. This highlighted to me the importance of adapting my teaching to meeting different learning styles of different students.
I also acted as an academic mentor to help students identify areas of weakness and proactively worked together to establish the best way to tackle the challenging areas.
