Over the last 10 years I have developed a maths tutoring business for underachieving and under confident children, covering KS2,KS3 and GCSE,I use a combination of online, interactive maths support and face to face tutoring for children and young adults who for one reason or another find maths difficult.

In my experience working with many students in a supportive, relaxed and friendly atmosphere on a one to one basis is completely the opposite to the classroom environment.

Students often find it difficult due to pier pressure to question when struggling to understand a particular topic.On a one to one basis this is easily overcome and it does result in significant improvements in their attainment.

I am a professional drummer with a wealth of experience playing, from touring internationally to studying at Leeds College of Music. My teaching is flexible and focused on you as an individual, creating a friendly environment to learn the genres that you're interested in. I hold a BA (Hons) in Popular Music Performance, with a focus on pop drumming. My specialism lies in pop and rock drums, and I can teach all styles up to an intermediate level (and pop/rock well beyond!).

I understand that drumming can be particularly intimidating to take up, especially as a beginner. My focus is on teaching in a no-pressure, friendly environment to ensure that you learn the best you can. After all, if it's not fun, it's not going to stick!

I support pupils' settling into school and development of English sometimes via translations of instructions and curriculum language. I also provide support for families prior to and during admission of children with EAL to school/setting. Planning, running and administering Arabic evening classes for undergrades and open for the public. 10 years working within the university where I became an Arabic Edexcel GCSE Examiner, International Cambridge Speaking, reading and translation moderator as well as supporting with IB Diploma.
I have been running the Arabic evening classes at the Modern Languages Department, where I have enjoyed engaging my students in different Arabic language activities to facilitate their language acquisition through Mastering Arabic Series.
