My name is Nadia, I am a Spanish, Portuguese and English teacher from Argentina. I have been teaching languages for more than 24 years now. Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching languages for more than 24 years. I studied English Language Teaching Training at Mar del Plata University, Buenos Aires, Argentina. I also hold the CELTA. I taught English and Portuguese in Argentina in schools and language institutes to all age groups and levels (for more than 10 years). I also taught English and Spanish in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to all levels and age groups, from children to adolescents and adults (for 5 years). I really love and enjoy teaching and sharing my experiences with the students.

Tutoring Approach:
I believe in fun, communicative and interactive lessons. I assess students needs and motivation for learning the target language. Always recycling the language learnt and putting into practice what is learnt in each lesson. I use a wide variety of materials (course books, grammar reference books, newspaper articles, songs, internet articles,short stories and whatever the students are interested in learning). The four skills are practiced from the very first class. You will feel that you are actually learning while having fun!

I charge £35 per hour or £50 for a 2-hour slot. I specialise in maths for A/AS Level, degree level and adult learning. I can tutor either online, in my house or elsewhere within a reasonable distance.

I have a first class maths degree and a maths PhD from the University of St Andrews. I also have A* grades in GCSE maths and additional maths and A grades in A level maths and further maths.

Teaching Experience:
While I was a PhD student I also tutored small groups for a number of maths undergraduate courses. This looked at question practice and further exploration of the theory, both as a tool to support the learning in the lectures.

Since leaving university I have tutored maths at A level, AS level and degree level. This has covered pure maths, applied maths and statistics. This has included all the main exam boards and my tutees have had excellent success rates in their exams.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a flexible approach to tutoring and am keen to be guided by the tutee's aims and learning style.

If you are aiming for specific exams then the exam syllabus and practice of all past paper questions would be the main focus, as this is crucial for success. If you are struggling with certain areas of the theory then I would spend time in further explanation and discussion, clarifying the material and ensuring that you have a solid basis of knowledge to apply in examinations.

I also tutor online, via Skype, and am helping tutees to plan ahead, for formal lessons which might otherwise be missed if schools close.

I am a passionate science teacher, married with two children and currently live in Fareham. I enjoy watching football and enjoy helping with youth work or organizing events in the community. I am Latin and English teacher based in Oldfield Park, Bath. I have been teaching at Kingswood School in Bath since September 2019.

Teaching Experience:
I began teaching English to speakers of other languages in 2010 shortly after completing my CELTA qualification. Initially, I taught university students and young adults at language colleges in London, Perth and Sydney. In 2012 I was accepted onto the Teach First Leadership Development Programme, and began teaching English and Latin to students in a challenging secondary school in Chatham, Medway. In 2013 I moved back to London and began working in the Independent Sector, teaching Latin and Classical Civilization to GCSE and A-level. During this time I also privately tutored students for AS and A2 Latin examinations. Since September 2016 I have been working at a preparatory school, preparing students for the demands of Common Entrance and Scholarship Exams.

Hello, I'm Ruben and I've just started my career as a science tutor. Having recently graduated from the university of Bristol (BSc in Biology with first class honours) I'm now tutoring KS4 and A-level Biology for both young and adult learners.

I have experience as a research intern for labs at the University of Bristol and the University of Newcastle, and I'm currently volunteering as a part-time researcher for the London-Based Social enterprise 'Mapping for change'. In September I will be starting a research masters in evolutionary biology at UCL & the Natural History Museum, London.

Teaching Experience:
I have no official science tutoring experience to date. I was however leading regular revision sessions and presentations for my peers during my undergraduate degree, and have been regularly child-minding for a number of families in the last year.

Tutoring Approach:
Above all I aim for a co-operative learning environment, and to create sessions which suit the learning style of the tutee. A session starts by devising learning aims which are both worthwhile and manageable. My lesson plans then combine two approaches. For new material, I introduce concepts though existing knowledge, examples and written exercises. I prepare high quality notes for each syllabus to be used for independent study. To consolidate previously taught material, I reiterate concepts using case studies, note taking and Q&A sessions. In preparation for exams, sessions will involve working through past paper questions & developing exam technique. My experiences as a researcher give me particular strengths in tutoring the practical elements of GCSE & A level biology syllabuses.
