Personal Description:
I was born in Lebanon where I learned Arabic and French and completed a Bachelor's degree in Law and Master's degree in Public International Law. I also completed a Master's degree in International Law and Human Rights at Birkbeck university before starting my PhD research at the University of Birmingham in 2018 and completing it in 2022.
I have always had a passion for languages and I am fascinated by the beauty of different cultures when explored through our ability to communicate using the languages of the places we visit and the people we meet. When teaching Arabic, although I teach classic to give my students the ability to read and write and keep progressing through at their own pace, I insist on teaching the Lebanese dialect which is understood by all Arabic speakers. Through this, I can immerse my student not only in the language but also in the culture in all its beautiful aspects.
I equally love French and enjoy teaching it. I believe that it should be the starting point for any language lover or any child willing to learn a second language as it provides great grammatical foundations to learn other languages. Also, it is not impossible to master and a learner can, with hard work and dedication be able to appreciate the beautiful French literature and enjoy the amazing French songs from the 70s!
Teaching Experience:
I have over 15 years of experience teaching Arabic and French to groups as well as individuals at different levels: primary, GCSE, A-Level students and professionals in London (Amnesty International, The Guardian & Observer, Societe Generale, JP Morgan ...)
My methods are adapted depending on each students and individual learning needs.
Furthermore, I have experience in translating Arabic to English, English to Arabic, French to Arabic and Arabic to French.
Tutoring Approach:
My different teaching experiences have taught me to manage my time both in following set curriculums and in meeting the needs of the different students that I teach. I can also adapt my teaching style to different age groups and am able to develop students' knowledge of Arabic dialects, idioms and culture.
During a typical lesson, I use a variety of materials and these are adapted according to the age, level, and interests of the students.
If you are looking to pass exams, your learning will be structured focusing on reading, writing, listening, and speaking, all in classic Arabic and meeting curriculum requirements. Even when doing that, I still highlight the differences between what the student is learning and the spoken dialect to give them the confidence to use their language skills in social contexts.
However, my experience is not limited to exam preparation. I have experience teaching children as young as three and adults as old as 73!
When it comes to children, I am a fan of the Montessori philosophy and believe in a child led approach. You would find me using the sand tray to get the child to trace his letters or playing I spy, or getting them to do activity sheets or letter puzzles or arts and crafts as we retell stories, find items, name colors and shapes...
For an adult learner, I could be assigning a segment from the news bulletin for the listening homework or a newspaper article for reading, understanding and translation. Depending on their social needs or professional interests, I have found myself teaching medical and legal Arabic from time to time.
Many of my students are interested in learning the Lebanese dialect for social reasons and with this comes more focus on understanding the culture that has endless fascinating aspects that keep you wanting to learn more. Whilst I am happy to focus on speaking when required, I still make sure my students can read and write for them to be able to progress on their own should they want to.
Briefly, I believe that students have different learning styles and, in a way, or another this is what makes what I do exciting and enjoyable. I strongly believe that everyone can learn anything if it is taught in a method that matches their learning style.

Personal Description:
I am 35 years old and I have most recently completed the LPC at the University of Law. I have already completed a GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law) at the same university. I also have an undergraduate 2.1 with Honors degree in French and Italian at The University of Manchester. I have spent 6 months in Bologna in Italy, working in a private language school for those wished to learn either Italian or English. I worked as a copywriter for the school website, working in French, Italian and English. I also worked as a conversation tutor to those who wanted to learn English. I lived in Paris for 7 years where I worked at ELLE, the well known women's fashion magazine, where I used solely French as well as a stint at Kantar Health and the majority of my time at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris. I am very down to earth and my biggest passion is football, I enjoy a good movie and love a good comedy. If you feel more comfortable meeting in a neutral place, a coffee place or in the town centre that is fine by me, I can be flexible. I have a clean criminal record and can boast a detention-less education!
Teaching Experience:
I now have teaching experience and I have shadowed those who have done this for a job. I have worked voluntarily in a school teaching beginner's Italian. Having already worked as a conversation tutor in a private school, I feel I would excel in giving private lessons, given the chance.
Tutoring Approach:
I feel every student works at their own pace, however it would not take me long to work out an approach which would realise the full potential of the tutee. I am patient and I can sympathise that learning a new language or topic can be frustrating. I've often found practicing certain exercises to be the most effective way to get over any tricky topic.

Personal Description:
I initially qualified as a barrister in 1986. I decided to re-qualify as a solicitor in 1990 and have worked as a solicitor ever since, covering many areas of civil and criminal law. More recently, I have specialised in criminal law. After obtaining a 2:1 Llb degree in 1985, I finished in the top 10th percentile in the Bar Exams in 1986. I retired in 2021.
Teaching Experience:
I have now been tutoring degree and A level students since February 2021 in Criminal Law, Public Law, Tort, Land Law, Equity and Trusts and Contract Law.
Tutoring Approach:
I prefer to tailor my methods according to the needs of the individual student. Some students require more leadership than others. It is important that the student feels engaged in the learning process since it is the student who will have to go on in between tutorials to study the subject. It is important to encourage the student toward better work and methods of working.
I encourage students to discuss with me their difficulties in grasping a particular area of law. It is very satisfying to see a student begin to thrive in an area of law which initially seemed intimidatingly difficult.
It is always important to apply the law one has learnt to a variety of potential situations in order fully to understand how the law works in practice. Equally, such exercises are the biggest mark-earners in the exams. Learning to present an argument in a logical, easy-to-follow fashion is very important.

Personal Description:
I am a Dual-Qualfied Lawyer (New York, England and Wales), with a Double First Class degree in Law from the University of Cambridge and an LLM from Harvard Law School, which I attended through a Fulbright Scholarship. I have a real passion for teaching and am eager to help students succeed in their study of Law. I offer the following services:
LAW TUITION
Regular tuition for those looking for additional support throughout their course for students at all levels. Whether you are struggling to obtain the all-important 2.1, or are striving for a First, I can assist. I teach all core undergraduate modules and a wide range of optional modules at undergraduate and graduate level. I also offer more targeted exam-focussed revision sessions with a greater emphasis on practice questions and how best to prepare for assessments.
In addition, I provide a coursework review and feedback service whereby I provide detailed written comments on how to improve your work. This includes dissertations and longer-form assessments.
SQE TUITION
Tuition for the SQE1 professional qualification exams (FLK1 and FLK2). Having taken the exams myself (passing first time in the first quintile) I understand how demanding the revision process is, and how intellectually and physically taxing the exams can be, especially for those unfamiliar with closed-book multiple choice exams, all the more so for non-native English speakers. As well as teaching the substantive content you will need to pass, I can share useful hints and tips to facilitate your preparation, and to learn the art of mastering the unusual nature of the questions.
ADMISSIONS
General university admissions advice and assistance in the UK and the US, which includes the following: guidance on course and university selection; personal statement workshops; and LNAT preparation.
For those applying to Oxbridge, I can support you throughout the admissions process. This includes: guidance on college selection; assisting with supplementary requirements and portfolio preparation; and preparation for entrance exams and interviews, including full mock interview practice and feedback sessions.
If you are unsure if Law is right for you, I also offer taster sessions for younger students considering studying Law at university to give them some insight as to what to expect from the course to help you make the best decision for your future.
Unlike many tutors, this is my full-time profession and as such I can dedicate my full attention to my students throughout the academic year. I am a committed tutor, wholly invested in my students' progression and as such I am always willing to go the extra mile to help them succeed. I am very flexible with timings and will do my best to fit around your schedule.
Teaching Experience:
I have over 6 years' experience working as a Law Tutor and Admissions Consultant.
Beyond teaching, I spent 4 years practising English law at a top US law firm in London. Prior to that, I spent several years working across Africa for various international human rights NGOs including the Equal Education Law Centre and the Legal Resources Centre, both in South Africa, and Avocats Sans Frontieres, the Initiative for Social and Economic Rights and Human Rights Network, all in Uganda.
I previously worked for Oxbridge Applications as a Law Tutor, to assist Oxbridge candidates with their applications and interview preparation, and as a Mock Interviewer and Admissions Advisor on studying Law, particularly at Oxbridge.
I also worked as a Law teacher for students aged between 14 and 18 to prepare them to study Law at university, as well as having previous teaching experience in the Sciences.
Tutoring Approach:
The two core values that shape my teaching style are that classes are student-led and enjoyable. My students come from a diverse range of backgrounds, ages, nationalities, and abilities, and I am well-aware that every student learns differently. I therefore make every effort to develop an approach to suit the individual student's needs after discussing your goals and learning style with you. I also do my best to keep things fun and interesting to keep students engaged, as in my experience students tend to learn a lot more when they are enjoying the sessions.
I am a big believer in getting started on practice questions as soon as possible as I know that these can often be daunting for students. I find that talking through questions together early on helps to overcome these initial fears, and I have also devised additional resources and structures to share with you to help answer those tricky problem questions, which my students find invaluable.

Personal Description:
I am a qualified solicitor in Greece, having completed my Bachelor and Master Degrees in UK. I am currently working on my PHD thesis on the philosophy of UK Criminal law. I am really enthusiastic to pass the knowledge I have acquired all these years studying and practicing law to aspiring new students and at the same time, learn from them, their ideas and enquiries.
Teaching Experience:
I have given private tutorials, online or in person since 2014 and 9 of my students are studying law in Universities in UK, all of them achieving at least 1:2. My specialization is to work mainly with Greek and Cypriot students who want to study law, either graduate or post-graduate, in UK.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to be as straightforward as possible, believing that law is a quite straightforward matter if you can have a deep and thorough understanding of it. I love philosophy and try to follow Socrates' and Plato's way of teaching, through dialogue and permanent questioning.
I believe that studying law is the most exciting thing there is, the philosophy of law is the foundation that every social science is build upon and I feel glad that I can pass this passion for learning to my students.

Tutoring Approach:
As an Academic Tutor and Coach, Nicky's approach is grounded in encouragement, clarity, and empowerment. She believes that great tutoring is about unlocking each student's potential - helping them to feel capable, confident, and genuinely engaged with their subject.
Her sessions are highly personalised and goal-oriented, focusing on the skills that matter most for success at Master's level: strong academic writing, critical thinking, and effective research design. Nicky combines the insight of an experienced educator with the warmth of a supportive mentor, ensuring that every student not only meets academic expectations but exceeds them.
Her aim is to make learning feel purposeful and fulfilling - to help students see their progress, take ownership of their ideas, and produce work that truly reflects their capabilities.

Personal Description:
Hi, I'm Aysha - a Law graduate with an LLB (Hons), a masters graduate, and a Trainee Sheriff Officer. My journey through Scots law has been both academic and hands-on, giving me a solid foundation in legal theory and a real-world understanding of how the law works in practice. I started tutoring because I know first-hand how challenging law can be-and how much of a difference the right support can make. During my studies, I often found myself helping classmates understand tricky concepts or structure their arguments more clearly, and I realised how much I enjoy breaking down complex ideas and helping others feel more confident in their abilities. I believe law should be accessible, not overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging space where students can ask questions freely, develop their legal thinking, and build the skills they need to succeed-whether that's acing exams, writing stronger essays, or preparing for a future legal career. Teaching isn't just something I do alongside work and study-it's something I genuinely care about. I want to see students thrive, not just get by.
Teaching Experience:
I'm a Law graduate with an LLB (Hons) and a Master's degree in Law. Alongside my academic background, I currently work as a Trainee Sheriff Officer, giving me valuable insight into the practical workings of the Scottish legal system. What I Offer: • One-to-one tutoring tailored to your course and learning style • Clear explanations of complex legal principles • Guidance on legal writing, problem questions, and case analysis • Support with revision strategies and exam technique • Friendly, patient, and professional approach As someone who is actively working in the legal field while continuing my own studies, I understand the challenges law students face and bring both academic insight and practical experience to every session.
