My mother tongue is greek but I am also a native speaker in english because I was born in Australia. I live in London and don't mind travelling within London. Teaching Experience:
Teaching is one of my favourite activities because it is a way to share my knowledge with young people and also with adults. I am a graduate in Mathematical Economics from the University of Birmingham. My original career was as a Chartered Management Accountant but I always had the ambition to move into teaching. I have been tutoring children one-to-one since 2012. I also run a maths and English training centre for 3 to 14 year olds. I was a governor in a primary and then a grammar school for many years before entering the teaching profession. I was on the GTP training course for Secondary Mathematics at London South Bank University before deciding to go down the tutoring route. My aim is to help children become independent, confident learners who are not afraid of numbers. Everyone can do Maths!

Many pupils find the transfer from primary to secondary schooling academically challenging. I can explain the underlying mathematical concepts and show them how to approach questions so that they can get into the maths set they deserve. I usually start with the current topics that student is studying in the school and explain to the student that topic and related background knowledge. As I teach one to one, my pace is faster than school and we usually finish the topic in one or sometimes two classes. And then we do previous topics and I explain doubts on those topics. I usually do not teach students that they already know, instead, start topic wise past papers of the topics students feel he or she knows well.

I have recently moved to Sheringham after teaching art in London for several years. I am now focusing on my career as an illustrator and, parallel to that, I am interested in offering private tuition to CGSE and A-Level students completing their Art & Design or Photography course.

As an artist and educator I find it very fulfilling to help others explore and develop their artistic skills.
