I am currently in my fourth and final year at Aston Business School studying BSc (Hons) Management and Strategy. Through 08-09 I worked in Leeds for my third year of studies at a leading insolvency firm but I would find it easier to teach subjects outside of accounting.

I have done a lot of traveling over the years and so am used to different cultures and traditions, being of Jamaican heritage myself.

I believe I provide good value for money, as my charge out rates are not very high, thus enabling more learning sessions to ensure that the tutee can fully take advantage of them.



Teaching Experience:

I have taught English, Mathematics and Science to primary school aged children abroad, whose second language was English, for over a year

Serving as a mentor throughout secondary school and university, I have helped others throughout their studies.

For over 10 weeks, I volunteered as a teaching assistant at a SEN school and taught young adults between 14-18 life skills, as well as working as a camp counselor in America at various special needs camps.



Tutoring Approach:

1. Identifying the needs of the child through initial assessment
2. Drawing up objectives to ensure the needs are met
3. Providing the necessary tutoring to prepare the child for passing the course
4. Monitoring and assessment of the child's progress
5. Producing progress reports for parents highlighting the progress made and the work still to be done.

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Management and Strategy (Completion 2010)
  • 3 A-Levels including Business Studies, ICT and Chemistry
  • 10 GCSEs all A*-B
