Personal Description:
I am a 59 year old married man, with a wealth of teaching experience. I have a car and can travel to your home. Alternatively I can accommodate at my house.
Teaching Experience:
I have 33 years experience in teaching ICT, Mathematics and Business Studies at Secondary level in UK schools. I have also taught Citizenship at KS3. I retired from full-time teaching in 2004, but have recently returned to full-time teaching on a temporary basis. I have a current CRB (enhanced) date 27 October 2008.
Tutoring Approach:
The important thing about tutoring is to ensure the person is relaxed and able to learn. Its also about taking things in stages, building on knowledge, and developing confidence. This involves listening to the person and to understand where their difficulties are. Only then can strategies be developed to overcome these difficulties.
