Personal Description:

I am a young and energetic teacher with a friendly and outgoing personality. I enjoy working with young people and I especially enjoy seeing them become successful through my teaching .

I am extremely approachable and professional at all times

Teaching Experience:

I am a fully qualified teacher of both Geography and History, as well as being provisionally registered to teach Modern Studies. I have teaching experience in both subjects in S1 and S2, Standard Grade, Intermediate, Higher and Advanced Higher. I have most experience in teaching Higher Geography, for which I normally get very good results. I have have experience in teaching Travel and Tourism at Intermediate 1 & 2.

Tutoring Approach:

I promote enjoyment with all my students and aim to stimulate interest amongst the youngsters that I teach. My teaching methodology for tutoring normally works around getting pupils to speak to me about what they know within the different subject areas, and instead of just "telling them" the answer, getting them to think about the answers and work it out for themselves. I also make extensive use of past paper exam questions as a means to test pupils on their knowledge & understanding, and enquiry skills.

Qualifications:

• BA in Geography & History
• PGCE(s) in Geography & History
• MEd in Education (ongoing)
