Tutoring Approach:

I have worked as a tutor for seven years and am also a fiction writer and reviewer for the Times Literary Supplement and other publications. Since graduating from my second degree (Masters in Philosophy and Contemporary Critical Theory, Middlesex) I have maintained a passionate commitment to my own and my students' education. I have made it my imperative to continue researching and studying in my subject areas of Literature and Philosophy in order to ground my career both as a tutor and a fiction writer. I am engaged with a collective of South London based writers and artists whom I deem invaluable for my critical and creative practice.

I think the most important thing for any student to be able to do is ask questions. I make it a point to instil courage and confidence in my students because in my opinion these are the building blocks of learning, in any subject. My sessions tend to be relaxed and informal, though I aim to cover much ground per tutorial. The intensity of study can be decided by the student according to his or her needs, experience and age. Above all I think learning should be fun and liberating. From my experience both as a student and tutor I think I make an able, friendly and enthusiastic tutor.

I have tutored all subjects extensively for entrance to the following schools: GDST schools, James Allen's Girls' School, Alleyn's School, Colet Court, Westminster Choir School, Westminster Under, City of London School, Dulwich College and Dulwich Prep.
