Personal Description:

Welcome! My name is Dominika. I am a qualified English language teacher. I hold a BA degree in English and Education from the University of Wolverhampton as well as Hogeschool van Amsterdam (international degree). Apart from this I hold the Trinity College London Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) as well as ICELT certificate (In - service Certificate in English Language Teaching) from Cambridge University.
I consider myself to be an outgoing and sociable person, with a positive outlook on life. I am happy to see individuals learning new skills and am glad when I can contribute to this process. I am proud to be a teacher and help my learners in their personal development.

Teaching Experience:

I taught students from many different nations and I am aware of cultural differences. I have experience teaching different age groups (from the age of 8 to adult learners) on different levels of proficiency in the English language (from beginners to advanced learners). I taught mainly in the Netherlands and in Bulgaria for some time. I adapt easily to any educational system in any country as this is what I was trained to do during my education.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor I focus on developing your skills in using English as a foreign language. I tailor the lessons in a way which suits your individual needs. I care about creating a safe learning environment and a friendly atmosphere. I know exactly how the language works as I myself needed to learn it once. I will teach you how to develop in all language skills (listening, reading, speaking and writing) as well as the language systems (grammar, pronunciation, proper register etc.). Naturally, I will focus more on the skills that you need most. Apart from this obvious schedule of language learning I will also do my best to make your learning as pleasant as possible, I will do it by providing materials and organising activities that closely match your interests. In brief, you can be sure that you will see your progress in using English quickly.
