Personal Description:

I am an intelligent and conscientious young man who has a breadth of educational experience. I live in Horsell, Woking and work in Guildford and hold a full UK driving licence with no endorsements and am willing to travel around Surrey to tutor or receive students in my home. I am recently married and am an trainee solicitor.

Teaching Experience:

While having no formal teaching qualifications I have been actively involved in tutoring my younger siblings for a number of years who have all achieved excellent grades at their SATs and are currently working towards GCSEs. I have also been tutoring university level Law for the past 12 months plus.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to encourage students to find their voices and think for themselves. I have found that schools with large classes of children with varying degrees of interest and intellect often prefer children to learn mantras and memorise details rather than think logically and methodically and reach their own conclusions.

Qualifications:

• I have 10 GCSEs (A*s in English Language and History. A in Maths, Double Award Science, Religious Studies, French, Resistant Materials and English Literature. B in Latin); 4 A Levels (A in History, English Language and Media Studies, and B in
• philosophy). I also have a first Degree in Social Anthropology from London School of Economics; and am currently working towards a further degree in Law at present, having completed a law conversion course last year, and currently studying for
• the Solicitor's legal practice course (LPC), whilst working full time as a trainee solicitor.
