Personal Description:
Married with 4 children ranging from 13 to 23 years of age. Am self-employed offering Spanish/French to children aged 3 to 11 within school time covering PPA. Have lived in Spain with families in my university days and studied at Madrid University for 6 months living in Madrid. This enabled me to travel exensively throughout mainland Spain. Always take holidays in Spanish speaking countries in order to maintain my fluency. I love to visit places abroad, enjoy good food and good wines, listen to a variety of music, enjoy live theatre. We are an extremely close, loving family unit with good friends.
Teaching Experience:
My whole career has been within education which commenced 1980 to the present date. I have worked for the LEA in 3 different schools all within the Primary/Junior range and decided this academic year to concentrate solely on MFL and become self-employed. After 28 years of teaching experience for the LEA this is an exciting period which already has enabled me to offer Spanish/French to local nurseries, Primary/Junior schools and adult tuition in the evening. As of September 1st 2008 I have a full time-table for school days plus more flexibility.
Tutoring Approach:
I love interacting with people of all ages and want my students to enjoy the learning. I make the teaching sessions fun yet interesting and have a wide range of resources plus inter-active white board sites.
