Information About Ralph:
Personal Description:
I recently graduated from Bristol University with a 2.1 in Classics and have settled here permanently. I am an easy-going, amiable and approachable individual. In my spare time I play in a band and am very passionate about music, literature and film.
Teaching Experience:
I have little teaching experience although I come from a family of teachers so I guess it is in the blood. I have taught guitar a bit to good response and effect.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that when it comes to teaching at school, a lot of the time the actual concept and basics of subjects are not given the required time. Once you have learned exactly how to solve a problem it becomes far easier to revise, rather than being taught simply what to do when faced by it. This skill is applicable to all subjects, especially maths and physics, and in my experience has helped enourmously when it comes to exams.
