Alessa Janine - Glasgow tutor

Information About Alessa Janine:

Personal Description:

I am a third year Geography and Linguistic Student at Glasgow University. It seem like an unusual combination but I have a passion for languages and different cultures and seeing the interaction between the two. Healthy living and a high amount of diverse sports are part of my personality.
Being in equilibrium with oneself and ones surrounding is vital for a well rounded individual and makes one capable of helping others.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously worked as a tutor in Germany and Spain predominantly in english, german and spanish. During these periods I mainly helped student between the age of 15-20. I have given mathematics and geography tuition to my fellow school mates during GCSEs and Highers. At times I also helped their siblings out with mathematics and english who were in the range of 10-14 years.

Tutoring Approach:

I do not have one set stile of tutoring as I believe it always depends on the individuals learning style. Therefore it is very important to have a practice session where I tend to have a few little exercises in order to see what type of learner the person is. After that I adjust myself and try to deliver the information in a form that most suits the pupil.

I have experience with ADHS, Dyslexic and Dyscalculia students and have learnt various different strategies in order to help these specials needs children with concentrate and focus as well as showing them alternative methods to learning.

I prefer a relaxed and secure environment for the pupil and most of my previous clients described me as fun and enthusiastic which helped them immensely.
