Personal Description:

My name is Izzy Olszewska I am 19 years old and was born in London.
I am a politics student at the university of London, I went to Cardinal Vaughan best state sixth form in London as named by The Guardian and The Evening Standard.
I am very good with children having previously worked in a tutoring center at Kensington for two years.
I am used to being around children as I have a younger brother who I take care of often.
I am very friendly and have a bubbly personality, which I feel is very important when tutoring children.
I am bilingual and can talk and write fluently in Polish.

Teaching Experience:

I have worked as a tutor previously at a tutoring center in Kensington for more than two years.
I tutored children of all ages from primary school to A-level students
I have also worked for Kumon which is the most recognized tutoring center in the UK, this center specializes in English and Mathematics
I have also taught children PE lessons voluntarily as part of a sports leader award, so have taught children's lessons previously.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is that it is better to talk to the child about the topic, as I find this is far more effective than asking them to simply read out of a text book.
I was a member of the gifted and talented program in my school so learnt how to best organise school work notes and how to best prepare for exams via methods such as mind maps.

I am extremely strict as I find this method of teaching to not benefit the child, and I believe that rewards are deserved when the child does well.
I can tutor specifically to what will gain high marks in exams, I myself was taught how to achieve this throughout my education. As examiners often look for more than just an exemplary knowledge of the subject, especially in essay written subjects.
