Information About Alison:
Personal Description:
I am a qualified Acccountant with a degree in Biochemistry. I work part time and look after my three children. I am an avid reader which has helped both my written and verbal English.
Teaching Experience:
Taught Basic Adult Education Classes
Private Tutoring for O level and A level
Ran training courses for accounting and specific accounting systems
Tutoring Approach:
I split the syllabus over the period and aim to work on it three weeks out of four. The other week each month would be spent covering areas where the student is having particular problems. I believe practice is important and I will set homework each week. Nearer the exams I will work through a couple of past papers with students and will set some exam questions and at least one mock exam under exam conditions. I believe my approach is friendly but firm and I try to encourage interest in the subject by relating them to every day.
