Information About Patrick:

Personal Description:

I am an Associate Lecturer at the Manchester Metropolitan University in the Faculty of Art and Design, and I am presently engaged in full-time postdoctoral research. I have studied both Art History and English at university, and feel equally comfortable with both. In my spare time I also write poetry and am currently writing a novel. I am presently a trustee at the Creative Living Centre, Prestwich, where I work as a tutor, art therapist, volunteer and secretary.

Teaching Experience:

I have taught at university level since early 2006 (at the University of Manchester and the MMU), and have also tutored students privately since September 2004. I have also been involved throughout that time in pastoral work in and around the university. I am fully trained at a university level for teaching and mentoring support.

Tutoring Approach:

I am especially good at helping students to realise and maximise their potential. I can help broaden their horizons and help them along, step by step, until they succeed at what they set out to do. I'm also excellent at tailoring my approach to the intellectual and emotional needs of each individual. I'm extremely approachable, diligent and conscientious. I'm easy to talk to and can relate to all levels.
