Sheila - Newry tutor

Information About Sheila:

Personal Description:

I am extremely down to earth and have a very easy going but focused personality. I believe it's very important to have a sense of perspective in life and that with the right attitude and focus nothing will stop an individual getting to where they want to be in life.

Teaching Experience:

I have graduated with a first class honours in teaching. I specialise in English Literature and am qualified to teach it up to A level. However, should you require help with writing skills beyond this, i.e in 3rd level Education, I'm more than equipped for this having worked for three years as a Peer Tutor in St Mary's teaching college.

Tutoring Approach:

Basically, it's up to you. I've got the degree, I know about the various learning styles and how to cater for each. But at the end of the day it's up to you to decide what is working and what isn't working. If you prefer group learning, get a bunch of friends together and we'll do that. If you prefer a relaxed one to one session with a cuppa, that works too. One thing I am not is a dictatorial type of teacher. If you organise a session with me, that means you want to learn. So I am not going to be the tutor that tells you off when you fall short of YOUR MARK. Success is a relative thing. I'm not going to guarantee A grades. I'm going to guarantee progress and confidence development within your chosen subject.
