Personal Description:

I'm 32 years old and I'm a head of dept at an outstanding Academy in South London. I have a powerful knowledge of social sciences gained through academic and practical experience. I have a progressive and versatile approach to tutoring which ensures students gain individualised support and guidance.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching for 5 years in an outstanding Academy and I am currently Head of Citizenship, PSHEE, Politics and Careers. In that time I have successfully taught and guided 1,000 students through the Citizenship GCSE (93% A*-C) as well as gained outstanding Government and Politics results at A level (all students gaining +1 on their predicted grades). I have attended relevant A level conferences aimed at maximising student achievement pushing students from B to A grades.

Prior to this I was an involved in investment banking analysis in the City of London for 6 years.

Tutoring Approach:

I'm a progressive, professional and competent educationalist who understands the needs of both students, examiners and higher education institutions. I have a proven track record of guiding and supporting my students to both GCSE and A level successes. I am very passionate about my subjects and I believe that academic success only comes to those who feel in some way connected to what they are studying, my approach centers around ensuring students not only understand but also respect what they are learning.

My style revolves around providing students with competent and practical knowledge backed up with relevant and accurate examples. My professional understanding of the examination requirements has been invaluable in ensuring students perform to the best of, or beyond, their ability.
