Personal Description:
I am degree qualified with a Masters degree in Mathematical Statistics. I am also a part qualified Actuary currently working for a large insurer.
I am comfortable teaching Maths and Stats at all levels.
Teaching Experience:
I have 15 years lecturing, teaching and tutoring experience in both South Africa and the U.K. including 10 years as a lecturer at the University of Cape Town.
My experience in South Africa allows me to confidently state that I have taught students of all abilities from those who would later gain Ph.D. degrees to those that came from disadvantaged backgrounds and needed intensive coaching and motivation in order to make a step change in their educational endeavours.
Tutoring Approach:
I approach each person as an individual and prepare an optimal strategy based on their characteristics and prevailing circumstances and requirements.
Above all my approach is to make learning fun, with tailor made lessons to fit individual interests.
