Personal Description:
Recently Graduated from the University of Nottingham with a First in Mathematics. I enjoy playing sport, music and socialising with friends. I'm currently temping at Eon to save up some money to go travelling! I have a full enhanced CRB disclosure from the Scout Association.
Teaching Experience:
I have little experience of teaching in the classroom but I help out at Scouts every Wednesday and I'm used to explaining and teaching them things. I'm very patient and can approach problems from many different angles so I'm sure to find a way of learning that will suit the tutee.
Tutoring Approach:
I will go through any maths material the tutee wants to do. If this involves finding extra material that is no problem. I will set extra problems to be done so that I can see the tutee is learning and see which parts he/she may need more help with. The bulk of my lesson will be teaching a generalised way of doing problems so that they can be applied to more than one situation. I'm extremely good at exam technique which is crucial for mathematics.
