Personal Description:
I am an experienced and qualified tutor - I have a mathematics PhD and have been tutoring at all levels (from GCSE through to undergraduate) for over a decade. I believe any student can become strong in maths with good tuition and a little work.
I'm also the author of Basic Maths For Dummies, AS- & A-Level Maths For Dummies, and several more titles in the For Dummies range.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to encourage students to look at problems methodically and to help understand the ideas behind the theory by using simple, real-world examples. I teach that it's not just getting the right answer that is important, but understanding how you got there and knowing that the answer is right.
Lessons take place either online or at my classroom in Weymouth.
