Personal Description:
I am a 28 year old enthusiastic Physics teacher who has good success in the classroom through being able to break science down into simple terms and apply it to everyday situations. Pupils get on with me and respect me because I keep things simple and put it in their language and apply it to their interests.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught for 5 years at a very successful fully comprehensive school in haslingden which has just been awarded outstanding status in all areas by Ofsted. I have taught all the sciences but specialise in Physics and teach this at all levels up to A-level standard . Through marking GCSE papers I have modified my teaching to correct the common mistakes and misunderstandings made by pupils. I have experience in teaching dual-award science, single Physics from AQA and both Edexcel and AQA A-Level Physics.
Tutoring Approach:
Using simple language and applying the science to common experiences I teach the problem subject areas. Then this is reinforced with practicing exam questions and the approach to exams. Work between sessions can be set to accelerate progress if required.
