Information About Corinne:


Personal Description:

I am a young but experienced University graduate with a degree in Spanish and Linguistics as well as a CELTA qualification. I am originally from Edinburgh but have spent over 3 years living overseas in Spain, Mexico, Japan and Czech Republic. I am currently working as an EFL teacher. I am approachable, friendly and organized.



Teaching Experience:

I have over 4 years of experience teaching foreigners English. For 2 of these years I was in Japan working with young people and adults. For the past 2 years I have been doing a similar job in Edinburgh, mostly with adults. I have taught all levels, from beginner to advanced, as well as exam preparation
My spoken Spanish is fluent, having spent time in Spanish speaking countries and with Spanish friends. I obtained an A in Higher Spanish as well as a BA Hons degree in Spanish language and culture. While in Japan I also taught Spanish to young children, and have recently been teaching the language part time.



Tutoring Approach:

I am frequently thanked and commended by students for my enthusiastic and methodical approach to tutoring. I zm friendly and out-going but am also perceptive and understanding. I believe it is extremely important to build up a good rapport with students because students must feel comfortable and free to make mistakes in order to learn from them. As a tutor I am flexible and can adapt quickly to the needs of the student, catering tutorials around them.
