Abimbola - Ealing tutor

Information About Abimbola:

Personal Description:

My name is Abimbola but you can call me BB. I'm a 24 year old girl who has two masters; one from Cranfield University and the other from Imperial College. I'm a fun yet efficient person who takes pride in her school work. I have always wanted to be a teacher however, my parents wouldn't allow me as they feel it isn't a lucrative business. I have passed my CRB checks and you can be rest assured that you will receive top results if I tutor you.

Teaching Experience:

I am the oldest of five children and anytime I am back home, I always tutor my siblings in all their subjects. During my A' levels, I was the smartest student in the boarding house and as a result of this, a lot of the other students used to ask me for help with their school work. In fact one student in particular I helped him get a B in his Maths A' Levels where he was predicted a D. During university, I did a stint with University Tutors a tutoring agency set up by university students. However I was forced to drop out as I couldn't balance it with school work.

Tutoring Approach:

In my opinion, no subject is difficult and no one is dumb. With the little experience I have, I find that the first thing is to grab the tutees attention. To do this, I usually find whatever their interested in and apply it to the problem. For instance, my brother is very interested in sports so I usually use a football analogy to explain Maths to him. If this method doesn't work, I just take it back to the basics and build up from there. I also believe in having a lesson plan which should be adhered to. However, I am very flexible.
