Elizabeth - Airdrie tutor

Information About Elizabeth:

Personal Description:

I am passionate about working with children and teaching. I have worked as a babysitter, nanny, behavioural therapist (for children with autism), tutor and teacher. I am happy to work evenings and weekends during the school year. During school holidays I am happy to tutor as well as provide childcare. I have an enhanced disclosure and can provide great references.
I have had problems receiving emails from UK tutors for the past couple of months so if you have tried to contact me and been unsuccessful I apologise. The email problem is now sorted so if you are still looking for a tutor please try again.

Teaching Experience:

I am a special needs teacher and am experienced in teaching children aged 3 to 16. I teach all subjects across all levels of primary school and early secondary. I specialise in teaching maths, reading and writing. As a tutor I have worked with gifted children as well as children with special needs.

Tutoring Approach:

During my first tutoring session I will assess the child to find out their skills, needs and abilities. Based on this I will create individualised lesson plans and resources that will help me to tutor in a fun and interesting way. If you have your own resources or if the school is happy to provide resources, I am more than happy to use them. I believe that children should be rewarded for good behaviour and effort and use positive reinforcement when I tutor.
